Having a harsh life doesn't exclude her from being a Mary Sue though. My personal opinions below: After book 6, imo she loses most of her personality. Qibli and Winter constantly fawn over her, to the point where it feels like her perfection is being shoved at the reader. She no longer has the truly bad part of her powers, and it takes away her flaws as a result.

I hate moon. She IS a mary sue. Everything revolves around her. She's probably going to be the one that resolves the third arc by tricking wasp into thinking she's clearsight or some bullshit. I wish moon didn't exist.

@@haveagoodmourning your entitled to your own opinion and I respect that (some points aren’t 100% directed at you just some past points people have made like moon leading Q and W on) but Moon “lost her personality” by barely be included past her own book. and I don’t mean was ignored I mean when winter left possibility she was only included in like a third of his book. then she was in like a two chapters of escaping peril with 20 chapters in between. then in like non of turtles book. Then 2/3s of qiblis. ✨Lot of characters can be considered Mary sues✨ I love glory but but your definition of having a harsh pass doesn’t mean you’re not a Mary Sue means glory could be definitely considered a Mary sue. she’s described as being beautiful, deathbringer betrayed his tribe just to save her, then risked his life like two other times. she’s sarcastic she’s called smart all the time she’s the queen of two tribes has one of the best defense mechanisms magical death spit. but no one considers her a Mary Sue. ✨Moons not perfect✨ Moonwatcher is a character that was raised COMPLETELY isolated other than sparse visits from her mother, who raised her to be scared of others and herself (stay secret stay hidden stay safe) and as soon as she got to the school she was dreading going to she was guilted and manipulated by dark stalker (groomed into being his minion) into releasing him. After she saved everybody in her winglet and another winglets lives she was dragged into a room with a head injury and got yelled at for something she couldn’t control and expected to share that aspect of her life two people she’s known only for one full day and a half of another. she is not a mary sue at all and she didn’t lead winter on she didn’t know he liked her through the constant threats because he was raised to hate the night wings (which is not an excuse because that’s the wings of fire equivalent to racism). Some of her flaws: she hates her self and doubts her self all the time. traits people will bring up in there Mary Sue argument are that she super smart and always reads (because she literally had nothing else to do if she was alone all the time) she’s an amazing hunter (she had to teach herself or she was going to starve to death) winter and Qibli are fighting over her (literally not her fault like not her fault at all so that’s not even a valid argument) she has mind reading and foresight (also not her fault but I’ll go with it, her foresight gives her the worst head aches ever it does more bad than good, especially when you save a bunch of people instead of thinking you to yell at you after knowing them for not even two days. With your mind reading she had to go through seeing carnelian wanting to hurt her The guilting of darkstalker The constant negative thoughts of winter. and anyone who ever judged her she had to listen to it). ✨Characters pasts matter to there overall character and personality✨ come on now I can name so many characters that if I asked what their flaws were you would mention something from their past. examples: kinkajou (was in a night wing prison, some might mention her not being able to read) glory (The guardians hated her now she doesn’t like being touched) Qibli (Family was abusive now he wants people to like him). All of the characters I just mentioned are my three favorite characters. In conclusion moonwatcher is hated on way to much, and she is not a mary sue but that’s just my well thought out opinion ✌️🤪🥤
