Saw them lift numero 6 with my dad right behind the goal literally a few rows away from the team. Meant so much to both of us, he saw it all happen in Istanbul. We went to Kyiv and lost together then he said it doesn’t matter cause we’ll be back again in both our lifetimes. Cut to 12 months later on the piss in Madrid. Campeones.

when the competition started we wasn't favourites, and after the semi final draw we certainly wasn't installed as favourites to win as Barcelona was favourites, Liverpool only became favourites when we reached the final

We did become favourites and winners of a Champions league under Klopp. Favourites after the Barca comeback and favourites for the next CL before we got kicked out. We also won the CL. yeah thats right he did leave Liverpool for Barcelona to win the champions league, because Barcelona told him that they would win the champions league before Liverpool did, and I bet he thought it would be coming true after the semi final first leg, he really cant have forgotten the ANFIELD atmosphere that quick, and I bet he thought the final was a done deal and didn't expect to be dumped out, after that second leg I bet he felt like saying to Barcelona you said we would win the champions league before my former club Liverpool, and now look they've proved you wrong and shown you to be liars, and now I bet they've only sent him out on loan because of what happened at ANFIELD just to blame him and say it was his fault, it wasn't his fault it was our players fault for having a positive attitude to get the result turned round and it was us the fans fault for encouraging our players, Barcelona cry babies and blamed and punished one player only for the humiliation that night and the commentator said at the end of the game MESSI MASHED ON MERSEYSIDE

this made me cry. Im in the process of losing my Dad due to his bad health. Seeing you with your Dad just hit me hard. Being a BIG Liverpool fan I was SOOOOO Happy after the Barca match and now the Champions League match. So close the last couple of years...but now its our time. At my age and living here in the USA I know I will never live out my dream of going to Anfield....but this year made up for me not being able to go. Maybe someday Ill win the lottery so I can go. Again...thanks for sharing your experience with your Dad...it will be a memory that will be with you forever....remember...WE all never walk alone.
