Kicking off the first-ever UCI Mountain Bike World Cup with a bang. Maydena, Tasmania delivered a true rollercoaster of a race.
Three days of baking sun dried out the stages that weaved themselves through the Tasmanian jungle, leading to some incredible racing conditions. The riders were pushed to their limits and beyond as they battled against the clock with many of the world's best becoming unstuck in the process.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites all mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for cross-country Olympic (XCO), cross-country short track (XCC), cross-country marathon (XCM), downhill (DHI), enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).
Comprehensive coverage from the races captures the excitement through exclusive interviews, analysis, reactions and event highlights. In-between events and through the off-season there are regular features covering technical and rider-based topics. All embedded with the latest mountain bike action from the world's best riders.

Nice coverage and highlights. No mocking around just straight on race highlights. Good to see a lot of riders being featured not just the top riders from last year. Looks like moi moi wasn’t fast and changing to coil didn’t help him either. Good to see new faces at the front and damn aussies dominating the field. Can’t wait for derby race. Well done😊

Fast Turn Around!! It's been over 24hrs. Everyone knows the results and has seen other highlights!! They need to up their game and get it out earlier!! They are very good highlights but slow out of the blocks!!

@@brookscurranthey were as good and quicker to release last year. Hopefully it will go back to same-day release. I watch from Vancouver, so typically get to see it no matter how late it is there when they press the upload button.

Thanks for a great video. Would be great to include a little info about the liaisons (length) because it’s pretty fascinating to understand how many km these guys are pedalling over the day. And not sure about the split screen rider comparison - impossible to watch both unless it’s in slow mo. Thanks again,

Always a good show, my favourite discipline, but... I follow ews since almost the beginning and year after year is becoming a mini downhill. I think it should keep it's specificity, trying to put some pedaling section in every ps like the past, saving the Enduro spirit. Maybe it would be good to save them some climbing during transfer. In this actual way is obvious that downhill racers have advantage. So, I hope it will not became a downhill sort of clone.

Derby doesn't have the elevation that Maydena does, so it will be interesting to see how the DH riders fair.

It still seems very distinct from both DH to me, just by the fact that they are riding multiple stages that they don't know every tiny rock on and they have to pedal up in between..DH guys will always be good in enduro too, the only thing I would say is that they should highlight the liaison stages a bit more, but that is more of a coverage issue than a race issue I think.

I was there as a spectator and I can say the Liason stages were tough too, it is a very steep place! Agreed it would have been good to show the up stages, especially with the riders riding up through the spectators who were making their way to the viewing locations for the next stage.

@@robertstewart7172 I’ve raced a couple of Enduros at Maydena and the transfer legs are pretty tough climbs, especially since you loose all that vertical in each stage.

Can we get some animations and red and green arrows on the leaderboard at the end of each stage. Would make it much easier to follow who's moving up and down positions rather than trying to remember who was there before!

Love the bike design kzfaq.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

Jack didn't film or edit his episode, he has a local professional filmer/editor at these races. Its also a lit easier to edit one persons footage.

Love the new coverage guys. You’re showing more racing by more athletes (not just the top handful)… My only complaint? That graphic you guys made to show the mountain/stages sucks. Like badly. Not a very good execution for what you’re trying to provide us with.

I'm sorry to say this, but @redbull and @gmbn did videos for enduro mtb much better. The overall quality of the footage used is great, but the plot is kinda everywhere, the story doesn't really exist, and the graphics are so dull that it doesn't really give the veiwer a great perspective to how grand an enduro race is. Tbh it looks like it was done by a college film student, not a production house. I'm sure the hardcore fans like myself enjoyed the video and were able to keep up with what was going on, but for people just coming into the sport of mtb this is probably confusing to them. Honestly this is a step back from previous productions on the EWS imo

How sad is it that all elite downhill for 23/24 is pay per view! From free on redbull TV to paying for it. Sad times in the UCI. I’ll not watch it now that pisses me off. Not only are we getting ripped off by bike shops for the price off components, compared to how much the manufacturer make them for. When the ratings fall and the stars don’t get there money, hard lines 👊

I don't get this. I love watching enduro (albeit still a "newcomer"), but you get no sense of each individual trail, no sense of the splits and times during each trail. It's just loads of clips that could essentially all be from the same trail. It's obv super nice to be able to compare the lines with the split screens, but you can definitely do with more "show, don't tell". And also, get drones please!
