Yall he does NOT need a helmet. This is a battery operated toy that at a walk I can pass him. It's no different than the battery operated cars and tractors we let kids drive around. Chill. AND why would any of you think this is going to replace maple? That's ridiculous. He got a gift! He actually hopped off that after awhile and asked to ride maple. He's not allowed to have other toys because he has a horse? 😂that's crazy

My kids, girl & boy & also my grandson grew up on my farm. We had 3 horses & a pony, plus goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, sheep. They also all had Power wheels Jeeps. Their love of animals, especially horses, never changed, but one important thing did happen. They are all excellent drivers! They learned many important skills from driving their own "vehicles" around our farm, including driving tractors and other heavy equipment. Everything you are doing on your farm & teaching your precious son, is giving him the best life lessons on responsibility, hard work, compassion for all life and FUN! Raising a self-sufficient human in this crazy world should be honored, not criticized. You go, girl! Love & blessings from my farm to yours.!

Unfortunately it's the way the Internet is. Everyone suddenly is an expert. Our son had one of these similar to this and my husband was able to walk with him as well. As long as you or your husband is with him and watch where they go he is fine.(which most of us know you're a wonderful mom!) Try to ignore them. They all think they know better. Some trying to compare it with an adult sized 4 wheeler are nuts. Those are entirely different. I grew up in the country and had a 4 wheeler but mine was the more adult sized so I had a helmet. 🤷🏻♀️

It's a toy 4 wheeler. It has plastic tires. I don't get all of the judgment in this comment section. It's not an adult sized 4 wheeler. Has to be charged and doesn't go that fast. Basically no different than those cars or trucks that kids can climb in and press the petal and ride around in. 🤷🏻♀️

They meant well, I’m sure but an inanimate object will *never* give him the love or total attention of dear MayMay. 💞She so totally loves him & especially beginning at such a young age when all that love & contact are so important. He will have time later to engage with the cold objects.

I think this is a good choice for him to get this four-wheeler because he actually is a very good driver I think later on in life he's going to do very well with driving a bigger vehicle when he gets his license I saw him just for a few seconds and he seems to be able to control it backwards and forwards really good way to go buddy

My kids and grandkids loved these battery operated ride on toys and didn't need helmets riding them. I always supervised, and they don't go very fast. This 4 wheeler will not replace Maple! Lots of adults use real 4 wheelers around their farms. It doesn't mean they don't love their horses, lol!

Personally, as a grandmother myself, I am against "toys" like this for children. Put me in Maple's column. She's a living, breathing bundle of love, and so amazingly careful around little Kolten. She deserves more respect! And say what you will, such "toys" are dangerous. Horses are, as well, really, but with Maple in the barn, you've got the best equine on the planet!
