I am so glad to call this man my mayor and to have had the chance to meet him. He is one of the most genuinely intelligent and kind men I have ever met.

I could not be prouder to have been raised in San Antonio,TX. And to be a Graduate of The Beautiful and Historic Thomas Jefferson High School in said San Antonio. (C/O 1998). I have always believed that Education is the basis of everything in life,but it is also what the person makes of their education. You can go to the best schools money can buy or you can go to one of the poorest schools in the nation,it all depends on the student's will and determination.

From 0:10 to 0:35, I feel that Mayor Castro is channeling JFK during his inauguration speech on January 20, 1961! They may not have had the same words, but the exact same cadence and style as Kennedy used. I am impressed by Castro as I was impressed by Obama at the DNC in 2004. I see Castro in the White House in 2016 or 2020, no later than 2024. Let all of us thinking Americans re-elect Obama - and vote in a Democratic Congress so he can go down as one of the greatest presidents in history.

I'm torn because TX is a state that threw a high school girl in jail for missing classes because she had to work to support her brother through college. Even though she's an honor student.... so she worked hard to exhaustion and the state threw her in jail hmmm
