Maytag Neptune Washing Machine Having Errors (warning headphone users)

This is a Maytag Neptune washing machine I got from the trash a few days ago 3-4 days ago and I think I know why they threw this machine away! I believe this machine has a bad control panel. Whatever button you press it will just beep. Igor it to start a few times but not every time would press the start button. This thing has control panel issues but while I got everything else while I got it to start while I could everything else seemed to work fine. Warning to the peoples who are wearing headphones!

Remember to always push buttons as hard and as fast as possible when the machines are reluctant to operate in the manner you believe they should. Works every time!

I don't know about the Maytag but I had the same issue with a Whirlpool front loader it will randomly do whatever it wants it turned out that it was just moisture on the panel after blowing it dry with the hair dryer the problem was solved and it was back to normal again

I use to had the same washing laundry machine about in 16 or 15 years ago at the couple old house went to in the past back then I was 3 or 4 years old in 2005 and 2006 and I kinda like Maytag laundry machines washing and dryer

I got a whirlpool direct drive and it’s the best! And yea these Maytag front loaders were really good back then in 2002-2003! Everything we got today is modern high efficiency nonsense!

Any idea why one would suddenly go dead? Mine acts as if it's not plugged up. Absolutely nothing, no lights on the panel or anything .

No but there are 4 Phillips screws to take out and the computer should come out well at least it did for me

It is a locked rotor code. Take off the front panel after unplugging the washer. See if you can spin the motor rotor. If it does, it’s probably not a bad motor, but rather the 3 phase motor control board which is installed in a plastic shell on the bottom right front corner of the machine. You can look it up by the number silk screened on the board and find a replacement on eBay. Of course I would try and unplug and reseat all connectors on the board and motor first as it may just be a dirty contact. You can get a free service manual online by googling Maytag Model and the model #.

@@williamburleson2976 I had the Maytag guy come over and look at it and he said the motor was done and the part is no longer available, so had to replace it.
