The THX sound is actually scored for choir, everyone just picks a random starting note before sliding into proper position. Pixar is what impressed me the most.

They'd have to have perfect pitch though to get to their correct notes coming from a random low one. Very impressive!

@@tingkagol Actually, perfect pitch isn't required. It's possible this group all has it, but in general, you just need to hear what your final pitch should be a moment before you choose a random start. You'd need pitch memory, but you wouldn't need to hold it in mind for very long.
