But yet again Money’came out on top with a points decision and laughed all the way to the bank as the fight broke a then PPV record with 2.2m sales and £120m in revenue.
The bout was held on September 14, 2013, in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight ranks as the third richest fight in boxing history, with Canelo going on to become a star of his own since the defeat.

I was in Vegas for this fight, staying at the Venetian, on my way to the fight. Im waiting in line for a cab and THIS FINE female from Brooklyn walks up on me "excuse me, are you with them?" she asks me pointing to a group of women behind me. I said "no I'm not, I'm alone" . She says "you're with me now" Needless to say my fight ticket went to waste, BUT DAMN SHE WAS FINE and WORTH IT!!!

Not a chance. As mentioned this is Floyd well out of his prime at 36yrs old. This proves a prime Canelo can’t beat a prime Floyd. This fight wasn’t even close.

No excuse Teo just proved this, and Tyson became Undisputed at 21 years old. Wilfredo Benitez won the WBC championship at 17 years old, and they stripped him because he was a minor who lied about his age. Floyd Mayweather @ 18 months into career won his world title.
