I often wonder why Maywood didn't get enough credit for their songs like ABBA and Boney'm did. So many great songs we have from Maywood, this is one of them.

Alice, Caren, if by chance happen to read this - I still have such vivid memories of the time I spent with you at your home in Bergharen that one evening the summer of 1984 followed the next day with concert appearances. Those memories will stay with me a lifetime. You were so kind and giving of your time. Being in your studio upstairs was fantastic. Thank you so much. Maybe when I come to Holland we can get together for a visit again and catch up. Much time has gone by since then - 30 years! About this song - WOW! What a wonderful and catchy melody... It's so much fun to listen to - one of my favorites now. I need to restock my Maywood collection. Great Music, Love it!! Take Care both of you. :)

I'm sure these two ladies are from a group I use to watch back in 80s on Dutch tv called the Dolly Dotts..yes ?. "Ik wil voor mij veerjaaardag een dolly dot" My dutch is terrible now sorry.

+fer ark They were not in the 'Dolly Dots'. They started as 'Maywood' in 1979 as did the 'Dolly Dots' in the same year.

Via een oud Maywoodfan collega op jullie site terecht gekomen. ERG leuk om oude tijden te zien herleven! Moet zeggen dat ik de laatste jaren niet veel op zoek ben geweest naar filmpjes. Dit sinds dat Karen en Alice uit elkaar zijn gegaan. Wanneer ik jullie filmpje dan zie in Rusland leeft bij mij het gevoel dat het niet klopt, ten minste niet onder de noemer Maywood, begrijpelijk? Niet dat ik Alice haar passie in haar leven niet waardeer maar er mist iemand namelijk Karen. Dit filmpje erg leuk
