😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

$25k seems a bit unrealistic considering the price of the Mazda 3 for example. However, it could be quite possible for low $30k. Mazda was offering 0% at the end of last year for 60 months on some models. Even right now their rates are much lower than Honda.
@houseandhobby6971

25k is realistic. The cost of materials is no more than the other lower level Mazda's. As far as greedy dealers, those customers who don't have the patience to wait, or the knowledge to negotiate, will pay a premium. Those who have the willpower to pay no more than MSRP can achieve it. Dealers will always milk herd-mentality and materialism of Americans as long as manufacturers continue to allow dealers to be a middle man and destroy the consumers perception of the manufacturer. The manufacturer who finally gets wise and eliminates the middle man corruption and abuses imo will realize increases in revenues and fast.

Back in the 1980's I owned a small pickup truck by Mitsubishi which was similar to all the other small trucks at that time such as S10, Mazda B2000, Ranger single cab but had a 7 foot bed which was useful for actually hauling the type of things people need a truck for That is what I don't like about the new small trucks like the Maverick or others being offered the bed is simply too short with not much capacity to do any real hauling of bulk.
@daniellarson3068

Right! I see all those newer 4 door trucks as being sort of "crippled" for their use as a practical truck. I think if one of the manufacturers shrunk the cab and lengthened the bed, they would find a big niche appeal.

I’ve watched videos of the original Toyota Stout from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s! One key feature that older truck had that newer trucks don’t. Older trucks had tie downs welded on the outside of the truck bed! New trucks want us to pay thousand$ for bed organizers and automatic tailgates. New trucks give a couple of recessed bed tie downs that are not practical. As for Mazda, Mazda would be better off creating their own small truck rather than copy the 70,000 mile life span that Ford is known for. Chevy promises rust! Dodge will give you a burnout from a dead stop and a 40,000 mile transmission. Give me simple and less tech!

I owned a 1986 Mazda B2000. It was cheap junk. The head gasket blew at 49,000 miles. The manual transmission went at 57,000 miles. It was one problem after another. Starter, alternator, you name it, I replaced it. It was almost as bad as a Chevy Z71 I bought in 2001. I dumped the B2000 at 70,000 miles and bought a Ford Ranger. That Ranger was a great little pickup. No problems with it at all. I would never touch another Mazda after owning that B2000. I just have no faith in a company that would sell something like that.

I actually quite like the looks of the blue concept version in the photos. I wouldn't mind driving around in that. If I ever got one of these small trucks it would be to compliment my Silverado, not to fully replace it. Especially if it was a version with the electric hybrid drivetrain. It would work best for driving in town so you weren't wasting gas at intersections and stop lights. Then when you had to do longer distance driving the battery can't handle the gas engine would kick in. One thing I always wondered is why auto makers never tried setting up vehicles to operate like a freight locomotive. Use the gas engine as a constant running generator and have it powering electric motors at each wheel to completely rid of a traditional transmission. If freight locomotives can pull thousands of tons of freight they should be able to do the same in road vehicles.

Whether the Ford Maverick Hybrid has been successful is a matter of perspective. Since there is no competition for it other than the Santa Cruz (I don't remember if that's a hybrid) then even 1 sale could be considered a success. Overall, I don't think they are selling well compared to other vehicles out there. No matter how much reviewers try to make hybrids sound like the be all and end all, remember that it isn't the reviewer who will give you the money for the repair bill once it's out of warranty and there is a reason why the batteries are warrantied for only so long.

Honestly $25K should be a basic full sized 1/2 ton truck. Vehicles are way over priced even with the current high inflation over the last couple years. Auto manufacturers should bring back the basic work truck at an affordable price, all trucks today are more of a cheaply made luxury vehicle than work truck. We need less government regulation especially from the EPA, that is what's adding a lot to the cost of all new vehicles but the manufactures are adding it too by not offering basic transportation instead of trying to make every vehicle a luxury one.

First Maverick is already on the lot, not OH we can build one too. If that is so why didn't you? Second show me a 25K Mazda that is turbo charged? So you are going to wait for a pipe dream? Funny the new truck has the new blue, not that blue they have been using for over 15 years. Mazda is slow to come around. I would love to this truck at the price, but.

Turbo engines suck, dont even last half as long as naturally aspirated before motor is junk who cares about a lil more power in a tiny 4cyl at cost of engine longevity?

We had Mazda trucks back in the day but Honda Ridgeline has had this market covered for years. Turbo is NOT the best way. I'm just waiting on The Ridgeline to go Hybrid. Smaller than a 5 foot by 4foot bed is also useless

If four doors and passenger room is the most important thing to you, then just buy an SUV, because these four doors and a sandbox vehicles are useless. Young people have ruined the truck market. Seems you view a pickup as a tow vehicle whereas some of us see them as a hauling vehicle. There was a time when people bought a truck so they did not need to tow a trailer around.

Toyota owns a considerable amount Mazda now. Once how Ford did. Toyota input will be very positive. Let’s go Mazda.

These highly paid (but not too intelligent) executives should have been far better at gauging their market. They were not pro-active but reactive, and poorly at that. The whole industry is run by colossal incompetents - with a few exceptions. By the time these compact trucks will come to the market, the economy will be in BIG trouble. So they will sell poorly.

Ranger & Tacoma are compact trucks. Maverick & Santa Cruz are SUBcompact trucks. By using the wrong terminology you make yourself appear like you dont know what you are talking about. !

The grille is a touch oversized; aside from that, it’s not a bad looking little truck. I might consider one. 🛻
