ACTUALLY it really IS NOT. Besides with Bloody Armor it is not only too easy but not worth doing compared to other games post dungeons

Scumbag Slayer isn't really missable. You can get one from one of the raid enemies.

But you still NEED to bloody armor 1 party member I would still have that Raid boss do 9999 PER hit at lv 255 on Earth mode and no that Raid boss will NOT die from the Scumbag Slayer. Theirs 1 Raid boss that could work with the Phantom Slayer weapon but that boss won't DIE in 1 hit from IT either.

You forgot to add Ashton's special move "Tri Ace" which you can find top right together in the small room with the other 2 chests

In the original ps1 I beat it in 2000 and didn’t know about the bonus dungeon until 2003. When someone told me and I didn’t believe them unlike this newer version the old one don’t tell you shit.

14:40 not sure how long it takes "just keep feeding it different meals" to work, but after a handful of meals you get the option to feed it mandrake or wolfsbane or crafting failure-type foods and that ends the little sidequest immediately with the desired result

also 15:55 I'm closing in on 99/99 endings and have like a dozen sword of farwell and I've never had the sorcerer spawn in on my first run through the levels

I'm playing through this now. I love this game as a whole. However one feature they should have put in this dungeon is where you can warp (one-way) to the entrance to save. This saves the backtracking. The caveat is that you have to navigate your way back to where you left off. Just a thought.

You can buy an item from Santa Clause when/if he appears that does this. I think it's the return home frog. I'm not sure if he's in the remake, though. I haven't played it yet 😅.

I kind of like that better honestly, encourages you to finish the game before getting lost for a dozen plus hours in this thing lol. Then you can always finish this, turn off Gabriel's limiter, and then fight him again in OP form.

Damn... I did it wrong.... I thought You had to go through the game all over again. So I did I new game + and see that after getting back to fun city again I can't access the dungeon now but have to beat the game again and then load the file from that....

Variable Volt (get by seeing 30 unique spots) is Chisato best weapon not Phantom Slayer

Maybe from a damage perspective sure. However, 50% life steal is insane. Pair that up with the gale earing from Eluria and she's at 70%

That and she can't SELF Heal so if your going to bloody armor her still use the Phantom Slayer because Bowman's Self heal is still crap and still only restores like 2000 HP PER Secret Medicine use give HIM a 2nd Phantom Slayer Bloody armor 1x Beserk Ring and Ring of Might and he will still do 9999 damage PER Poison/Explosion pills per use at lvs over 100.

On floor 10, the section at the top is closed for me. It says "choose three symbols of death to be your way. Triumph, then come forth." How do I open it?

An old comment at this point, but it's called "Mission to the Deep Space" and is used in a lot of tri-Ace games.

What other characters have a move that can only be used if they are with another specific character. Like Precis, as you need Ashton in the same party for her to Learn her Hologram skill thing

IIRC You need Precis for Welch to learn Mithril Fist (PA in Armlock)

@@frankenrobbie so if I have Precis welch and Aston I should be fine. Does that mean I still need Celiine to hit the required amount of party members for Welch. Or can I ditch Celine

@@Yusei255 You need at least four members to recruit Welch if I recall correctly, so you can recruit Ashton and then Precis in Linga, then run back to Lacuer to get Welch! (Welch's PA is time-limited and I don't really remember when's the deadline for recruiting her, but as long as you do it before you stay the night in Bowman's house, you will definitely get Welch!)

Welch is crap and the Cutoff point is once you BEAT the Hoffmain ruins you can no longer do the PA for her to join even with BOTH Opera and Bowman BOTH in the party.

How low of a level are you! Your enemies are purple? I haven't seen a purple enemy since they all turned green on Expel way before the Krosse cave at the start of the game and I've had it on UNIVERSE difficulty since I started the game.

you don`t, you will have to be in the second world and talk to the eldery man in fun city to teleport back to Expel and then going in the maze of tribulations

load your clear save instead of new game plus, then go to fun city arena, there is an old man there who will send you into a simulation of the first world

You have to do as shown at the start of the video, you have to load the post game save (not start ng+) then go back to fun city and talk to the old guy in green at the arena.

Her ultimate weapon is here on floor 4 it's one of those ?Weapons that you need to Appraise from that large group of treasure chests.

Her ultimate move (at least on the original, havnt tested it yet on the remake) is by going back to Eluria Tower after finishing the game, on the top floor you get a Crystal, use metalwork on it with Welch and you get her ultimate.

STILL Bloody armor Claude Opera Chiasto Dias/Bowman floors 7 to 9 else even at lv 255 on EARTH mode I didn't even last for 10 seconds before the entire party dies IN 1 hit.

Yeah to be honest, I cheesed the hell out of post game. 4x bloody armor with Opera healing. Then I figured out later on you can get life leech on your weapons

But before HP drain IS possible still bloody armor Claude Opera Bowman + Dias all lv 100 first half then kick out Bowman for a Bloody armored Chisato though in this version Tear Gas kind of sucks.

Because you're hell bent on using Bloody Armor in every single comment and video that you can't seem to play without them. I went through the whole game on universe without bloody armor/helmet including all raid bosses, and maze of tribulation, and all post game coliseum fight, ending at level 160-170. From New Game till I check all those off my checklist, still takes under 24 hours.

The loot could have been better inside this pyramid chests...why are we getting veggies at the end of the game.. already beat the last boss...we don't need veggies. Original way better. During customize they got lazy, in the old version the items actually morphed. They ruined claudes rock move. Dumbed it way down. They took away Ashton's poisen breath move.. idk.

Rena can and on a SOLO Claude run ONLY she can kill the 5th floor boss once its dead you can go BACK to doing a SOLO Claude run if you choose to Bowman/Chisato can equip it and I prefer that they do.

I don't know but what we did was just surround her with fighters and keep her perma locked with constant multi-hit attacks and hope to God she didn't break free.

That was a number one complaint about Star Ocean - Second Story R is that you have to beat the final boss, Gabriel, in order to access the Maze of Tribulations, which took away consistency with the original from 1999. In fact, in the original Star Ocean - The Second Story, you can access the Bonus Dungeon before beating the game if you saved at a final save location in Feinal, go to Fun City, and be virtually transported back to Expel. That bug needs to be fixed so you can beat the raid bosses, get all fishes, and best weapons without having to beat the game.

It's literally a postgame dungeon. New Game+ modes weren't really a thing in the late 90s, and it's obvious this place was meant to be that. You still have to unlock all endings & characters for the platinum achievement, so you'd be playing multiple times anyway - something you still had to do in the original.

@@callmeshaggy5166ACTUALLY you DO NOT need to unlock all the endings to get the platinum achievement lying troll. Believe me I used bloody helmet and got platinum in two playthroughs with 15 endings.
