We met up with Mazhar Khan who was playing the role of Lala Roshanlal in the famous serial Buniyaad. Mazhar talks about his role in Buniyaad and also about acting in Bollywood movies. He talked about producing and directing a Movie. He did start it in 1989. The film was called GANG, which he did start but due to his ill health, he could not complete it. Mazhar Khan passed away on September 16, 1998. The film was completed by his assistant and was released in the year 2000.
Here is a very candid and down to earth interview with the late Mazhar Khan.

He died in September 1998 .He married national heroine zeenat Aman but her marriage with Mazhar Khan was a living hell.

In 1986 most people had this thought. All he said was she'll bring food to the shoots. Later on he did say she can work in a few movies as she's a great artist

Can you check the recording date of this interview again? Most places say that first Buniyad was broadcast from 1986. You have dated this interview to be 1984 and it is from a time when a lot of episodes Buniyad has already been broadcast. You also talk about GOvinda shooting for a lot of films in this interview. That too happened from 1987. The host then talks about wathing Ek chadar maili si (which released in 1986) "last year".
