Full correct lyrics: Well you're still walking Around the block You had a long time To think who you are You look so sad Well so you think You say "come over" And you're still a star You're like a villain In some old film Walking in the dark In somebody's room Save me 'Cause I'm still sinking And you've got a harbor Close to the shore Simple Your thoughts are swimming I'd like to see them When you're alone You've got the same smile You had before It's just latent And what I adore Save me 'Cause I'm still sinking And you've got a harbor Close to the shore Hope ❤️
@PimHuisman3 жыл бұрын
I can totally relate to that! Searching for the lyrics I got annoyed by all the obvious mistakes, the worst one being 'heartburn' instead of 'harbor'.. or 'we've got a harbor' instead of 'you've got a harbor', which I think doesn't make sense in the context of the song. I think the people behind those websites are listening on crappy speakers to low bitrate mp3s :-) and are more focussed on posting a hundred lyrics per day on their sites than to get it right. Before daring to post this I listened about a hundred times on vinyl, FLAC and KZfaq. The only words I was never 100% sure about were 'latent and what I adore' versus 'laden than what I adore' versus 'later than what I adore', but it felt right.

"Quiet, The Winter Harbor" is hands down one of my favorite Mazzy Star songs. It’s just so mesmerizingly beautiful. Hope Sandoval's haunting vocals combined with the dreamy guitar melodies create such a captivating atmosphere. It's funny, the first time I heard it playing in my sister's room, I actually thought it was Lana Del Rey! But regardless, this song has a unique charm that's all its own. It's one of those tracks that you can listen to over and over again and never get tired of. Definitely a standout in Mazzy Star's discography 💗😌

I remember listening to this song and EP a lot when it first came out and being really excited that Mazzy Star was releasing new music, and hearing it on Euphoria has brought me back here. I was pretty shaken when we lost Dave back in 2020, to the point that any of their music just made me really sad. Now, I’m just happy to see that this band means something to a lot of other people. I hope other Euphoria fans will discover the magic of a special band like this one 💜

Still revisit these songs on KZfaq once in a while to read the comments and take peace that there are so many Mazzy Star appreciators out there. I still feel sad that Dave Roback will no longer be crafting songs like these with Hope - Feb 25, 2020 was a day that rocked me pretty hard - but I'm so glad that they made as much music as they did together and that they made the decision to revive the band from 2011-2020. I got to see them live in 2019 and it was incredible. RIP Dave.

Amazing this is how I felt in 2017 until I met this beautiful white man with deep blues like the ocean with a heart ❤️ of GOLD that his heart was full of deep sad secrets like the deep ocean. Sadly the timing was way off for I belong to someone else. This beautiful man was drowning I did my best to save him from drowning in deep depression. When I seen him lifted I disappeared from his life because he was secretly swimming his way into My ♥️ heart. Did not want to break his heart so I broke my instead. Amazingly this beautiful white blue eyes deep as the ocean found me in 2018 . I cried & cried answered his questions why I left why I disappeared because I didn’t want to break two 💕 two hearts I rather break mine. He understood said his good bye forever never seen him never heard from him again. But flowers from Mazzy reminds me of him including this song and the song Cry cry cry and Sailing to south New Orleans. May good lord keep this beautiful blue eye white man happy hope he misses me like I miss him.

My Mazzy Star trivia buff nature was pleased to learn an interesting new (to me) fact about this song today. It's not a new Mazzy Star song, it's an old one. The band performed the song live in 2000 in London. There's an audience recording of it. And another song, "That Way Again" that's on the "Still" e.p. along with "Quiet..." is also an older Mazzy Star song the band played in 2000, and, I just recently learned, also played occasionally in the 1990s at least as early as 1994. Fans ought to be pleased the band is giving belated studio releases to unreleased songs they played live in the past!

So I did the math...I have listened to your first album through 5 girl friends, three decades, and fallen asleep to it over 600 times. My wife and i had a discussion with a few friends about who was the most influential female vocalist of the 90's. There was Tori, and Fiona, and even Courtney. But then I asked my friends, how many times did you listen to them while you slept? And then it became unanimous....You are the queen, all my friends admitted they fell asleep to you for years....I am soooooo happy you are making music again, my wife as well. Thank you.
