What makes a difference is that Onew, the artist conveys emotions so well in his singing. You feel like you catch a glimpse of how delicate and tender Jinki as a person must be. I can only hope that he has not only the love and comfort of his fans, but of people in his personal life. He surely deserves it.

I love that at the end, after composing himself, he reminds us that whatever hardships we’re going through, we shouldn’t lose hope because we’re not alone. I miss Jonghyun so much. Onew’s voice is truly a gift, and I’m so thankful that he came back from his hiatus, healthy and eager to share his talents again, touching countless people’s hearts in the way only someone with his depth can.

Onew is always hiding a lot of sadness behind his cheerful appearance. Im praying for his happiness. Happiness and sadness often exist together. I always hope he finds strength in everyday life and never gives up. As leader of shinee he has always carried his members on his shoulder.

I love Onew's vocal tone in his version of the song. It makes me feel a bit bittersweet to know that he continues to hold Jonghyun so close to his heart (who I assume he is alluding) despite the passing years, yet is not comfortable sharing that too publically. Which is totally fine, but I hope he has someone in his private life that he finds comfort in confiding in when he needs. I also find his gentle strength and kind heart really admirable as he expresses how he hopes others find comfort through his singing/through music despite the personal struggles that he was reminded of.

The way Onew sang the song, his pure genuine emotion. And of course especially December is winter month that not a pleasant memory for Shawol and Shinee too. Not gonna associate everything with Jonghyun.. but for me, this is what make me cry listening to this performance. You did well Lee Jinki

This really touched me deeply. I lost my brother two and half years ago on January 1st. Shinee is the reason why I have survived the hard times. They have brought me happiness and made me feel like I'm not alone with these feelings because someone else has experienced something similar. I'm a shawol since 2010. I came to korea in 2017, just a couple months before Jonghyun. As soon as I saw the title of the song and heard it I understood, and Jinki's delivery just brought it home. Our healing isn't a straight line, and some days it's hard. But listening to our sweet kind leader's voice always helps me feel like I'm healing. 수고했어 진기야

Onew is the reason why I became a SHINee fan. I was mesmerized by his voice the first time I listened to him, and it was merely the first 2 or 3 lines of the song. His voice is that magical. Powerful yet delicate, refined yet raw. Then I naturally discovered SHINee as a whole group, and what an amazing one! Each and very single one of the 5 members have got some amazingly insane skills, so that no matter the genre you cannot avoid this group if you love music. And this man, Lee Jinki aka Onew is their worthy leader. His is rightfully known as the healing voice, but today I am grateful that he found some voice that healed his heart too. I am grateful that he could lean on someone's song too. I am grateful for Byul and her amazing song, that brought love and comfort to him, and thus to those who love him, including myself. I am just grateful for the beauty and kindness that had been shared during this show. This is the power of music, this is music is ought to be. Wishing all of those magnificent singers to always walk on a flowery path, doing what they love the most ❤

I like both version a lot, though I cried with Buyl's. Onew's version is like a powerful wave that you feel teary at the end because of his emotion and Buyl's like sweet honey that starts a very sad song right off the bad with unexplained longing even though the lyrics was "I was happy waiting".

I just saw Jinki last thursday for his fanmeet and he was so radiant and happy..but knowing how much of these emotions he'd bottled up in the past years (we all know which memory he's talking about, or maybe part of it T_T), I'm so happy he chose to rest and is now living more dilligently and taking care of himself. This video brought me to tears thinking of how these artists bring us joy through their music and their fan service...but deep inside I was asking: who's comforting them? Who's making them smile? I hope they have that someone/s in their life. I hope uri Jinki continues to be healthy and I wish for him to have a loving family someday. And yes, SHINee is 5, forever.

I cried so hard after Onew’s version of the song :( Both of them did such a great job, but you could really feel Onew’s sentiment which I think made it so much more impactful. What made me ugly cry was his ment afterwards :( when he said he hoped this would bring comfort to whoever needed it, and thinking that he had Jonghyun in mind and what could’ve occurred made me sob. Crap I cried so much through Onew's version it really got me very emotionally invested, I really cried like a baby and am now ready for a nap lol. It was really beautiful and Onew's voice is so warm that it hugs the heart!

Initially, I fast forwarded to Onew’s singing, without knowing anything about the song. I honestly felt like Onew was singing to Shawols. (I thought he wrote it).
