Kim Seung Jae (the original singer of this song) was a former member of duo group DEUX who died after his solo debut. He was killed by his own girlfriend who was a sasaeng at the hotel where they spent the night after his solo debut stage. His girlfriend was a medical student and had knowledge of a human body. She injected him 28 stimulants causing his death. But did you know what's more tragic? He did not obtain justice because his girlfriend was super rich, from a powerful family and had political connections. The case was rejected, she won the case and the girl completely ran away from it. She changed her entire face through plastic surgery, changed her name, her entire identity and now a famous doctor.

He's always hot, I'm pretty sure we all agree on that one, however curly hair + BTS... :s For some reason they all look extra hot whenever their hair is curly/wavy. Think of Hoseok, Tae, Jimin. Yoongi.. And I don't mention Joon and Jin cause I don't remember them having wavy hair so far, maybe they had though! I'm not sure why but it enhances their sex appeal for some reason. If this isn't my fave Jungkook's look is in the top 2 for sure.

This is a tribute to one of original and first generation kpop idol “kim sung jae” let’s appreciate the performance and how BTS did a great job to perform his song. Don’t argue things like how the hyung line looks like a back-up dancer or who looks better taehyung or jungkook and stop asking where is yoongi because in my opinion I think when BTS heard that they got this opportunity to pay tribute to Kim Sung Jae, BTS felt so much pressure not to ruin or messed up the performance. For sure “RESPECT” is all what inside of BTS’ mind at that time.

okay but i love how different jungkook's voice is in this cover--he's like a whole different person vocally and i love it; deeper and harsher pronunciation/clarity and notes, more assertive and aggressive, i love it! it's different from his usual angelic and breathy tones, which i equally adore--his vocal range is so wide i love it

Kim sung jae He was so cheerful, happy and energetic during his performance on this song. He wanted to bring his old group back. Never thought that he will end up like this, never thought that this song will be the last performance of his life, his dreams got crushed just like that 😭😭😭 I wasn't even born at that time when he died but I still felt a pain in my heart after knowing about his death. I'm just wondering how his fans, family and friends had felt when they got to know about his death. I want to thank bts, because of them I got to know about this song. Also no one can beat the original one but bts also performed very well.

It's so tragic. I watched the VIXX version on Immortal Songs after seeing a comment about it (I just came back) and the mom of Sungjae was in the audience & crying while they performed, especially once VIXX's rapper rapped (I think he wrote it himself & it was about the tragedy & injustice - at least, that's what comments were saying). I cry when other people cry so I was tearing up. I'm not trying to downplay BTS's performance, because it is really good, but if people are interested in the performance by VIXX that is a bit more personal with the tragedy I thought I'd mention it. I'd never even heard of VIXX before but their performance was pretty great & sad.
