One time I saw people playing tic Tac toe in a way that was 9 boards in one and if you won a mini-board you got that square for the big board and you could go wherever whenever so Travis's 10x10 isn't far off

If anyone wants to know, tic tac toe is an Americanization of tit tat toe, tit being a slap or attack of some sort, tat being retribution(" a tit for a tat") and toe meaning a row of things. So it's effectively slap, revenge, row.

when I was a little kid I genuinely thought that you had to commit to whichever row you wanted to place your symbols. So I thought it was the dumbest game because whoever went first would always win... baby me was just trying to get by
