I work at a self-serve frozen yoghurt store, with sprinkles and syrup and all the fixin’s, and this one time a woman came in with her kids. She bought them plain cups of yoghurt, sat down with them in a corner and, from the depths of her purse, whipped out a little pocket-sized tube of rainbow sprinkles (which we HAVE in the store) and topped off her kids’ yoghurt. This was several months ago and I think about it to this fucking day.

I have friends who have very particular food needs they'd be deeply uncomfortable breaking and would absolutely do something like this like... if people want to make their food comfortable and palatable and enjoyable just let them do it.
