I honestly think being a mounted police officer is amazing. I strive to be an equine veterinarian and have taken co-op in grade 11 at a domestic animal veterinary hospital (mainly specialized in cats and dogs). It would truly be amazing to get up in the mornings, serve and protect and do something you love (horseback riding). I wish there was a way to incorporate being an equine veterinarian with horseback riding, because if so I'd be thrilled! Downsides of being a mounted police officer are no doubt the types of miscreants that would be encountered. And by that if someone's in a dangerous situation and said person had a gun and shot the horse, that would just about be the worst thing. It's a dangerous job :/
