@thehb2k I agree and I have. NONE was like this. Not even close. Hammer put on a SHOW that I'll never forget. Likewise, he had a ton of dancers on stage. In fact it was a concert where Vanilla Ice was the opening act, then En-Vogue and Hammer being the main act. It. Was. Amazingly. 90's!!!!
@TTSantiago8216 жыл бұрын
My 1st concert ever in life was MC Hammer and it was during this tour in 1991, I was 9 years old and Iost my damn mind!!! At the height of all he did he absolutely was comparable to MJ. But, because Hammer took the model of getting people from his own neighborhood and all of them being black people, it shows where Beyonce' took her que from as well by combining MJ and Hammer when it comes to her performances. Hammer never got the credit he deserved but those of us that know the truth know his worth and influence.
@notynoty75265 жыл бұрын
Beyonce is not taking que from Hammer Her dancers are not from her neighborhood. Plus, she just started with having mostly black people on stage with her. Her band and dancers before recently were mixed.
@TTSantiago8215 жыл бұрын
NotyNoty she clearly did in reference to his ability to perfect a stage show. He had just as much discipline. She channels that completely. That is the comparison. As u mentioned, she also now has a band and dancers that are all black people, just like hammer.
@notynoty75265 жыл бұрын
I agree with that.

If I remember correctly, my favorite female backup dancer for Hammer, named Yo-yo, was Hawaiian and not black.

The energy and percussion dancing of this Hammer performance reminds me of the late, great James Brown.

At the height of his career, MJ was Hammers only rival when it came to concert performances. Hammer was maybe the biggest rapper ever. There are not too many rappers that can sell out stadiums alone and Hammer did it all across the world. I just hate that hip hop deemed him a sellout, and those same ones that called him out for crossing over, are now making disney kiddy filmes.

@@ertfgghhhh no it wasn't, The Funky Headhunter and Inside Out albums are great, the production quality is top notch as well. Some good West Coast material on those albums. If you would actually listen to those albums instead of listening to some random people saying it wasn't good then you would realize it's nowhere even near being bad.

I would after 5 minute's of dancing that hard, I would be on a respirator, will need an ambulance to rush me to Tokyo Emergency room and will need an I.V. Plus my legs will need to be reattached if they didn't forget to pick them up off the stage and throw them in the front seat of the ambulance.

In my lifetime, the biggest artists to hit the scene were the Sugar Hill Gang, Mc Hammer, Mary J. Blige, and Biggie -- but Hammer was the king for excitement and entertainment value. Plus, as a bonus, his dancers, especially the girls, were bad mofos.

@cartoonworld10003 жыл бұрын
They actually learn English in high school, it helps them with business and even if you see their arcade games a lot of things are written in english, only dialogue and subtitles are written in Japanese, they take English learning seriously.
This is when rap was good an enjoyable putting on a show for the fans it's so sad to see rap today nothing but thug music pants hanging off and a bunch of males on stage just standing in the back doing nothing but holding their hands up rap music is so pathetic today thank God for the old school

I see why Biggie said Hammer and those 357 bitches. Hammer put too much people in his shows. I know he had a big heart but some of these dancers were unnecessary. I only can imagine the cost for putting on a show.

357 bitches was in reference to Oaktown 357, a female rap group that Hammer started, not referring to 357 bitches on stage.
