NOTE: This is a reupload because I have neglected to deinterlace the previous upload of this logo, resulting in deteriorated quality (in some conditions, you can see very noticeable combing). I try to aim for the best possible quality for my captures, so I recalled the old one. Apologies for any inconvenience.
So... apparently my copy of Richard Pryor's "Which Way is Up?" is one of the few DiscoVision discs that is encoded in a way that'll allow normal players to view the ENTIRE LOGO. So, I had to capture it.
NOTE: As with the Mickey Mouse disc, this one has some rot, but it's expected, unfortunately, with DiscoVision.

This MCA DiscoVision logo in the beginning music sounds like the NBC following program fanfare

That's a pretty good home video logo from the late 1970's. Some people might think: "this logo is much better than the Walt Disney "Neon Mickey" logo".

Yes indeed! Just to keep in mind that one of the first of Disney films were released on laserdiscs under the MCA Discovision line, and the “Neon Mickey” logo made its appearance prior to VHS and Betamax formats in 1980 when “Pete’s Dragon” was the first Disney film to be released on VHS and Betamax as part of the launch title.

Some of the planned Disney DiscoVision titles were not only canceled, they never got laserdiscs at all, not even from Image Entertainment in the 90s when they ended up distributing the studios in-house LD releases. I actually like the cute little logo on the back of Mickey popping out of a TV and operating a top-loading laserdisc player. I wish they could have kept that and used it after the license ended pretty quickly. WB also had a deal with them, but they backed out without releasing any titles, probably because they were not impressed with the quality of the disc they saw from DV and had to be convinced to pursue the format in-house.

Should have done a 60p deinterlace with QTGMC. Laser rots terrible on this disc

The original animation was filmed. Motion interpolation would be better to get 60fps.

Sadly, these early DiscoVision titles were fraught with issues and have a low survival rate because of that. It was probably a miracle this disc could even play.

The sound is worse than the picture, and that can be cleaned up with iZotope or some similar product.
