McCULLOCH power mac 310 - Zama C1 carburetor rebuild

2 жыл бұрынMy neighbours PM310 (1988) needed some TLC. After cleaning the chainsaw it was time to rebuild the Zama C1 carb with new gaskets and diaphragm.

Same one I have. I have always had trouble keeping it idling low. I was going to try that Amazon kit as well but I found one with a new needle and other hardware parts for only $9 CAD. Thanks

@@zenmannl Just one question, at what height was that kind of trampoline that holds the spring and the needle? editor: at the moment it purrs like a kitten, tomorrow I will continue testing to make sure, it is curious, the carburetor does not have a normal gasket at the junction with the cylinder

When your cutting in the wood the saw would rev up high, sounded like it was leaning out, turn out hi screw to richen. Low screw contributes fuel along with hi speed screw at full throttle. Tune low screw so that it is a bit rich and bogs a little when revving up. Then turn low screw in to lean until it revs up smooth and clean.

what is the top line for? i got oneof these and that line is missing but i cant understand what its for.

I don’t know for sure, but I think is is some kind of overflow line where excess petrol gets dumped.

The top line brings the pulse from the crankshaft to the pump to suck the fuel.Without this connected it doesn't work at all....
