Just buy that one....I converted mine about a year ago when there was no rally....only mcd...it cost me about 1200 total to convert...now you'd be better off buying the mcd rally...cheaper..that body with cage and shipping is about 350 all together.

Throttle curve is smooth on the fliers..but you have to set your start power to about 45% to eliminate most of the motor cogging...after that..your good to go

Yes....mcd and rovan parts are interchangeable and vice versa

Used MCD suspension....way nicer with heavier spring rates

@rattlecanonlexan836 yes...parts are interchangeable between the two as long as you don't like brand loyalty. Mcd parts are expensive....that's why I bought the rovan first to "tear up" before I bought the mcd. Then got the mcd and almost every part fit or were interchangeable. It's a rovan....but damn near whole drive train is mcd and it's just better. Mcd uses ball bearings...and not dogbones...way smother, less matiance, and faster for what I was doing.

I run 1 1/5th scale power hd servos and trim the plastic around and drill holes to accommodate the 65mm long servos. You are right...the servo tray is to small...but Power Hd servos are enough for what I'm doing

@BeautyBeastRC yep....that's why is you look closely at the servo tray....they have like precut lines to mount bigger servos.

You would need alot of stuff to accomplish that...about 400 bucks including a body

It's called a mcd chassis wheelbase extender. But you will also need a new rear drive shaft. Half-shaft, and bearing cups to make it work as the mcd uses ball bearings and not dog bones. Good luck.

@playactionjackson918 thank you...but when I did it...it was cheaper to go rovan....now..not so much. Better to just buy an mcd and be done with it.

Rovan f5 is a beautiful car...I still have one as a matter of fact. I think a taylor 35 would be a great fit for it
