I miss the powder addons they had for a little bit here in the US, they were all really good. McDonald's did it a couple years ago, there was a garlic parmesian, ranch, and spicy buffalo. I THINK some locations had a fourth one too, but I don't remember.

They used to have fry seasoning packets at Burger King about twenty years ago. They didn't come in any particular flavor. They were just a unique blend of spices that tasted delicious on the fries. I was so disappointed when they discontinued them.

I think burger King used to have a cheese powder thing. Found out you can just use a cheap Mac and cheese sauce powder and it tastes just the same!

At one point, Burger King (not McDonalds) offered several different flavours to shake into their fries. I seem to remember a powered cheese(with salt), which was fucking amazing. They gave you a little paper bag and if you got fresh fries hot from the oil and shook them they were the bomb.

i think you could recreate that by using mac and cheese powder and asking for fresh fries (i never had them so they could be a different cheese powder but thats what i feel like theyd use)

Im super happy that you got these! They're one of my favorite seasonings they done in the past 2 years! the other really good one had honey, soy sauce, poppy seeds, and something else in it~ it was a syrupy texture. I can't believe i never thought to send you them! I'll be on the look out for now on

I like to put McDonalds fries in the bag then dump mustard and ketchup right in for a shaking. I saw a stranger do it once, I know they somehow copied my idea, someone must have told them.

UM YES! Mentai Mayo is amazing!!! i first had it at Kenka on St. Marks in NY and it was soo yummy! so i bought so much mentai and just make it all the time!!!

They actually used to have french fry seasoning packets at Burger King in the U.S, for a time in the '90's. I loved it. I forget what was in them. I think it was just a mix of paprika, black pepper and some other stuff. I was so disappointed when they discontinued it. Emmy, you should do a video on how to make a similar spice mix for fries.

You're so adventurous and like so many different foods👍🏽 I'm Dutch-Indonesian, but I hate seafood (except fish n chips, or tuna salad sammiches occasionally), and often meat in general smells and tastes terrible to me lol. Got in trouble a lot as a kid for not wanting to eat dinner except for the rice and veggies (I'm 48, old school parents lol). I live vicariously through other people😁

In singapore we have seaweed, chilli, truffle and cheese shaker powder. But we only have it at a limited time and you can only have the shaker if you order a large fries and seaweed is our all time favourite shaker. hah !

Yeah, mentai is a big flavour here! Fry seasonings are such a simple idea you would think McDonald's everywhere would have them. Anyhow, great video, glad you could do this flavour justice!

Most of the local supermarkets here in my home city in NZ in the deli section sell cooked chips (fries) and you can choose to have them put chicken salt on them instead of normal salt. My local convenience store that we call a Dairy here in NZ offers that option on their ones also.

I visited Japan this past spring (late March/early April) and they had a limited time sakura flavored seasoning. It went great with an ebi burger and (also limited) sakura soda.

in singapore we've had seaweed shaker fries (this one comes back kinda annually due to popular demand bc it really is stinkin good), also cheese and truffle, cheese, sesame and probably some more i can't seem remember haha!

I definitely remember them doing something like this before, I can't remember if it was for fries or nuggets, but you got a little packet just like that and the bag to shake them too.

Whoops! I SO agree with you on cold McDs fries! Glad I am not the only one lol. Half of my fam-strange😱-LIKES them cold! Yuck. I hope we DO have the mentai here or get it soon. I love mayo and the way they flavor Japanese snacks. I buy them alot...online. To get at McDs would be great. Thankyou Emmy. I love these car vids. Love these fry seasoning packets. In Singapore, there's Thai shaker fries, Seaweed shaker fries, depending on the promotional flavour (Prosperity burger, Samurai Burger, Nasi Lemak Burger), they all come with twister fries or shaker fries. Awesome, but a lot of MSG.

Over here in Sweden, McDonalds have had tex-mex flavoured dishes for limited times, including fries with tex-mex flavour powder and a bag. The burger "El Maco" had tomato salsa.

While living in Australia we had cheesy shake... I replicated at home with dried parmisin cheese dust, a little msg, paprika and salt 😊😊😊

I had seasoned fries before but I had them at McDonalds in Hong Kong. They were seaweed flavor. They were definitely my favorite seasoning/flavor.

We have a bunch of the maccas shake seasoning in Australia and New Zealand, some of the flavours were cheeseburger and there was a spicy one (which wasn't spicy) they are the only ones I've tried~

Wienerschnitzel used to have shaker fries I’m gonna say a good 20 years ago. I remember buying them on my way home from school. Flavors were original like a Lawry’s seasoned salt, ranch (obvi), and one more flavor I can’t remember which though, maybe cheese. I just remember there were three flavors altogether!

I actually grew up pouring and shaking furikake with my mickey d's fries! My mom learned to do this when she had first immigrated from Korea to Hawaii. She would also avoid using the entire powder packets from ramen, citing health reasons, but still save them and use that to shake up our homemade fries. :D I had no idea the ones you got were even available in Japan, or anywhere else for that matter.

We have em here in the Philippines.. theyre called shake shake fries and theyre usually only available for a limited time.. my favorite flavor is bbq.. :)
