I'm delighted you got to enjoy our special foods in New Zealand! Its so fascinating when someone from overseas really appreciates and analyses what they're eating - reminds us that we've got it pretty good here, ie meat quality, great pies, independently owned cafes and bakeries. Even our fast food is better than the States!

I 100% agree, boycotts _definitely_ make a difference-& even more so when theres large numbers participating. My family’s been boycotting places like Starbucks and Target for years & thats hundreds upon hundreds of dollars right there. Just imagining the power millions of ppl have, it might not end a 70+ yr long war on its own, but the less $ sent to the Israeli military the better 😅

Kiwi here. Nandos is huge where i live. Peri-naise is Mayo with PeriPeri seasoning added. Their PeriPeri chips are bomb

Hi from Australia! ❤ It was so cool to see you go to some of my fave places. I know it’s just a supermarket, but I absolutely LOVE woollies! I go almost everyday after school with my mates. The mud cakes there are definitely a cake I will never get sick of. Many birthdays have been celebrated with those cakes. It’s every mum’s blessing 😂 If and when you come back, you should try shapes, specifically Vegemite and Pizza flavour! ( They are delicious ). I’ve been to the Max Brenner Choccy bar and the fondue was in fact delicious. Glad to see that you enjoyed the food here! Hope you come back soooooon ❤❤

Where do you live?? I step outside my door and I have the world at my doorstep. Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Japanese, Greek, etc...and even the ubiquitous poutine. Nothing boring about Canadian food culture. It's a great mixed bag, just like Canada.

3:30 I was just thinking “pie….mini pizza? Yo wait that just looks like sfiha wth.” Turns out the cart said it WAS sfiha 😆 weird that it was advertised as a pie-tho admittedly in Arab cuisine cheese and spinach “pies” r made from the same dough, just folded over (called a pie but more of a mini calzone)

Oh my God, you were in the Valencian district were I stayed for a bit after my father’s passing. I hope Doña Vincenta is doing alright - that stupid criminal I was investigating didn‘t know how to turn on the heating properly, so he had the air condition on in the winter. I can‘t even imagine the cost for this poor woman. He told me this was „the gypsy district“ because everybody kept staring at him and asking questions about where he worked lol
