I don't think Manastorms are really healthy for CoA and shouldn't come with release/any sort of big reset. They're fine for actual ascension, but I think CoA should focus more on open world content personally. Elune open world is dead as hell cause there's just no reason to do anything outside of Manastorms and I don't think that's what CoA should be. And speaking of Elune, Zanzibart - Elune.

I do actually dislike manastorms in CoA. Theres 21 whole new classes, nearly 50 different specs to play, and everybody is just Aura of experience + potion raiding manastorm. Open world is empty, there are almost no random low level dungeons, BG doesnt pop that much... I'd like a more vanilla experience on release with the new classes for some time, no heirlooms, no MS, no auras. And after a while, gradually introduce them.

Dwarves can at least get a beard like the OG Warcraft 3 Necromancer units.

@McDoubles: I seriously hope things like heirlooms, manastorms, instance auto-ports, and pulling half the dungeon etc. are only there for alpha testing and won't be part of CoA eventually. Although the classes are absolute masterpieces, that will make or brake CoA for me :-| If I want the arcade-playstyle, I can play classless or retail. The awesome classes of CoA should be enjoyed in a "Classic/TBC+"-like environment.

I think manastorm is well designed in terms of power level, it gets really challenging at like 500 when the bwl bosses come, like chromagus etc, (I'm lvl 1440 myself). I know people that struggled at like lvl 50, people at 150, or 200, it just dedpends on the power level of the build, (talking about the elune server), so I think for Elune it is in the right spot, there is a challenge for everybody, and it is good that it is so easy in the start.

Awr - Elune Necromancer actually looks so cool, even tho I kind of wanna dabble on the healer aspect of the whole game with maybe With Doctor or the chrono mage spec, this whole ordeal looks so fun.

what we really need is class quests. Id love to be able to play a necromancer in a way that has my character earning their skills and abilities. Abomination Sitching 101, How to Enslave Your Geists, 12 Ways to Use Someone Elses Life, I could keep going.

Just hit 60 on my Animation Necro, I went Orc, thinking their racial would apply to the pets until I realized they're Guardians, hehe. But loving this class, loving the spec!

Seem the classes at the beginning, I feel like Son of Arugal and Witch Hunter could use new names. Son of Arugal to better describe the general class. While Witch Hunter just feels out of place, it could just be because it also has 'Witch' while being next to the Witch Doctor class.

There is value in having methods for fast leveling in an alpha/beta, but I desperately hope they cull Manastorms from the release of CoA. They are so diametrically opposed to the idea of a world to explore, you might as well remove the open world from the game and make it a lobby-style game like LoL or 'For Honor'. I know many people will disagree, and with 69 specs to try across several classes maybe I'm just out of touch with the intent of CoA - maybe people ARE supposed to just level every class super fast and then smash mythic+ and manastorms until their eyes bleed...but it would make me sad if they did. Disposable content might be fine for seasonal realms like Classless...but a new revamp of the MMO deserves more IMO. EDIT: Wrote this comment about half-way through the video, before it became very clear that not only is McDubs not against them, but he is heavily in favor of them. Whelp, there goes that hope lol.

You guys have basically changed the clothes of ascension, which is cool, but if it's being advertised as something different it should not feel like Ascension 2.0 because all of Ascensions balancing is due to it being classes and the crazy influx of exp and gold is due to the rogue-like aspects of the game. I'm so excited to try all of this and can't wait to try it all out but I wish there was more information on the direction and feel of what this server is going to be like or is it just ascension 2.0 and we all are just going to max out all new classes and spam instant based content with zero outside pve interactions due to that content being irrelevant in the identity of the Ascension rogue-like 30 minute max level in instant based content. I don't believe manastorms should exist in its current form in CoA. There is no better way to get gear, it's really easy to level in and gives far too much gold. It will just stop people from going out into the world. Change the reward systems and make it max level content or it will always be the priority for leveling due to gear and gold. Exp boosts should be removed unless you guys are planning on having people max out a bunch of characters. People already prestige well over 22 times a season, I definitely do. I would love a video with the CoA team just talking about the direction of the server, it would definitely drive more hype considering the gameplay footage of all completed classes.

While I do agree that manastorms shouldn't be a thing on CoA, I don't think you should judge whether or not content is easy when your character is fully geared in heirlooms.
