Huge w on coa over wow, druid should have water spells and shaman should have astral ones, a small overlay or even shared spells would do wonders for class fantasy. I can’t wait for full release! I mained Soraka for long years and this class has very similar class fantasy to her

Something I've come to realize about alot of the more "problematic" early game talent pathways is that almost all the passive ranks are just 1/1 I think if they just add an extra rank to certain nodes for some specs could help prevent overlap with certain styles like 2h Guardian having to take Shield talents in their own spec tree -Holendear

I love the fact that some of the classes are like focused subclasses, Pyromancer is Fire Mage and Barbarian is sort of a Fury Warrior, it would be interesting if the created even more focused classes like a Melee Hunter with a support type spec and a Pet Tank spec etc - Darthdraft

As someone that mains Shaman on retail, I’m actually so jealous how well CoA made a water based healer. This makes Restoration Shaman just look like any other healer with a water motif (which it kinda already is to a degree). Also, most of the healers are so fun to play in CoA. Tinker is one of the most fun healing spec I’ve played out of both CoA and Retail. The only thing else I’d want is a turret or a bot as a let or on a medium CD that heals or damages (you can swap modes). Another thing I’d like is for certain melee abilities that have an AoE or Frontal Cone to no longer require being in melee range to press or even with no target. I’m talking out Cultist Tank, Unarmed Monk etc. Just a bit of QoL and make them feel less restrictive.

in regards to the tanking "dead starter" talents. technically it isnt dead. since the spec is give and take on mana, the extra swings from starlord still gives you a free % mana back as well as energy for your normal rotation. its no different the prot warrior getting extra swings. the amount of defensives you get from the both trees as you progress balances it all out. this is a hyper aggressive tank and it is a ton of fun. havent found a single build yet that i dont like with starcaller. they nailed this class

As a healer main, the different spells here only will make sense if mana regen is an issue for starcaller healers. If we draw comparisons to classic H priest your moonwell splash here is closest to heal in applicability, Douse will be used similar to power word shield id bet, your flash heal is closer to deluge, and finally hand of elune is your greater heal. Here however Douse is the most interesting because its similar to a combination of prayer of mending and power word shield in that you would want to apply it to anyone with a dot on them, or if a large hit is coming up for the tank. Slipstream and your torrent seem to be close, albeit more powerful, to your prayer of healing. Although I cant say if every spell will have a well defined purpose because if some numbers are simply higher than others then thats the best spell. The cooldowns, mana costs, and cast times however are a very good place to be at if the final product needs to be able to function in a game similar in difficulty to vanilla wow

I agree that while CoA should be harder than Ascension it should take less time than og Classic. Imo it should have the pacing/difficulty of Vanilla, but leveling to max should only take the same time it would take to get to like lv 40 in Vanilla.

Starcaller seemed confused to me. Would probably benefit from consolidating the playstyles a bit. Like having tank/healer/ranged dps and allowing it to focus more on those types. Like if you wanna focus more on casting or arrows as a ranged dps. Not sure there was any healing from Kaldorei huntresses, think they were priestesses. - Oak

I think the aspect of the starlord also works for the range build regarding dps as well cause I've seen it proc off of ranged attacks as well mostly the starting one to do bonus chip damage. which has me intrigued if it can also proc off of the aoe regarding the ranged abilities. to do bonus damage or aoe burst damage. Who knows that may actually slap in PvP while being ranged for the most part.

Still needs a little work but a very nice looking themed class. Its these types of classes that have everyone chomping at the bit for the release of CoA. Me included. Thanks for the unrivaled content, Your the best! - Palengrey

This is cool I love the Priestess of Elune vibe. That was always a unique archetype for WoW and I wish they would have pursued this as a class. in Wow they could have easily continued the Parallel class themes from the WOW classic Paladin/Shaman. Then added Priestess of Elune/ Shadow hunter with troll Shadow hunter being for the Horde.

I'm about lvl 22 with this class (among others) and I was going for the ranged DPS with the AoE heals on my shots as a kind of support healer. I felt it needed more AoE so glad to see that it gets some later on... guess I should get back to this instead of throwing kegs with my barbarian.

Yasss!!!! Been loving moonbow, might be my main pve healer. Also when it comes to leveling speed I think it would be cool if they did something like duskhaven where each alt you level gains increased leveling speed for each capped character.

Noice. I'm not the biggest fan of Tyranda but i love seeing old school warcraft stuff in wow. Personally i might be in the minority, but I prefer longer videos, if people want specific info or something they can just use the bookmarks you take the time to add in for us. I prefer to have a none rushed thourough look at the class. Lastly I think they can really lose the melee/tank aspect of the class here. I see the same problem showing up that i had with druids in wow. I did not like the amount of "special child" treatment that class got where it could do litteraly anything and still be better at it than a class that should be more geared for it. I have no problem with bear druids tanking i just don't think the oversized hamster should resist damage better than a warrior with plate armor and shield the size of the black temple xD.

Regarding all the healing spells that are the same but slightly different, depends. In classic, it was common for me to use different range of the same spell for different situations. Even rank one chain heal was super helpful in raid because I could perma cast it without really losing mana, and for little taps or when you are mega oom, is really good. I don't think those spells there exists here for that reason, I think is just "bad design" and probably will merge into one

I think the satchels should stay, but they need to reduce what you get from it. Instead of 4-5 pieces from. It make it 1-2. They're a nice reward but overpowered. And reduce the amount of greens that drop for the love of god.

I agree with your views on no ezmode satchels 'n such as an effort to keep the open world and traditional dungeon runs alive and thriving even. I also enjoy the leveling journey as much or more than max content, but I also feel there is a time and place for the speedier leveling. So personally, I'd like to see some sort of exp rate option, similar to turning on resolute mode but in reverse. Add some sort of worthwhile benefit to staying on the "default" lower exp, but also give the option(at a cost, or lack of bonus) to have a higher rate for the people who don't have the time to put in weeks of played time, or have already leveled 15 of the 21 classes ect. Thoughts?

I totally agree that CoA should have the same pace as original vanilla wow. Still, it looks pretty promising, aside from some spells doing 30 different things at the same time.

Play Monk Blademaster spec with a 2H. It’s pretty great, surprisingly a sleeper. The Tithe ability is very cool.

25:32 they did not put in the effort of making new graphical effects, ovbiously, thats why so many spells use the same falling starfall-star, but this one here is from vanilla/classic when priests still had spells based on their race=faith and nightelves had a priestess of elune single target starfall thingamajik -- thats its graphics

I feel like Knight of the Eclipse would fit the melee part of the class.

the talents mop-shadowlands were so much more of a problem that a lot of players realize

Satchels are totally worthless on Acsension servers. Just get the Burning Crusade bundle. It gives you 4 22? slot bags per claim, and you can claim it an infinite number of times per character. You can use them for your bag and bank satchel slots.

I hope they find a way to make Dungeon spam less desirable. I hope there is a way the devs of this (and other private servers) make it worth it to do every dungeon once or twice, but not more than that. Maybe by making dungeon quests give a lot more experience, but the mobs give very little. Maybe make drop chances a little higher, so you don't get punished if the gear you want doesn't drop. Idk what the solution is, but I want to see people in the open world.

I'm not 100% sure, but going off how you described the healing spells, it seems like a mix of holy priest and mist monk. As an old holy priest main who didn't care for mistweaver's playstyle, I'm not sure how i feel, might have to stick to tank/dps if I play starcaller. -Asius

Was excited about this class at the start of the video when i thought you was using 2 hand melee, now just seems like its going to be another over powered hunter spec that's going to poop on everyone in bg's with its auto atk slows. I've had my fill of OP hunter specs in ascension, the sole reason i'm not playing atm, i hope COA is better but this spec doesn't fill me with confidence.

Here’s my thoughts I’m alpha/beta, xp should be high. On release. Exp should be low for the first class you level to 60. Faster for your second. And fast for your 3rd and beyond. Alts are going to be the primary form of replaybility for CoA. Most people prefer end game. Imagine you spend a month getting to max level, only to learn your class is not meta, and is not brought to group content. There’s SO much to balance. You cannot assume classes are going to be balanced in a reasonable amount of time. At least give players the chance to level their alts to keep interest in the game. (I do agree gearing should be slow)

i agree fully, the only way ill come back to WoW or WoW private servers is if the journey is worth it. im tired of only playing end game. iv done it all a million times. top 5 guild on thunderfury for classic, server first lvl 60 rogue. min max min max min max, fuck i just want to enjoy the journey. screw the end game 'button smash good' content zug zug my ass.

It would be nice to have a turtle wow but with COA version unsure if u get what I mean but yeah just the fact that Mob doesnt have enough HP might impact the immersion or make it less fun but thats my opinion
