IDK what DHunters talking about these Dark Knights Metal characters/vehicles are like nothing we've ever got. A new take on Batman and its awesome!

Why would you not only get one, but buy two if you're probably never going to use it? I'v been dying to have just one and have plenty of figures for it. It would go perfect with my Dark Knights Death Metal collection and be awesome for my whole family to enjoy and use.

If the paint was redone and it could look more realistic and better. Of course lighting will be cool and maybe some people will make it remote control capable.

That cheap plastic shell sucks, but the undercage is badass.

Man i truly do hate my local stores and not having a toys r us. We still have just externals eternally warming pegs and ZERO city wide restocks. Batmobeast if i recall is (SPOILERS) BATMANs evil mind trapped in a vehicle. I just consider it another weird batman figure for McFarlane. Another weird one but i suppose its a collectible. Well get more regular batmobiles soon so no worries there thats almost given. Especially with new film coming. For its size i do wish it had more features

People say they don't see the value but I think of it more like a playset than a vehicle or character. Sure you can only pose about 2 characters on the inside but if you remove the shell you can pose like 15 on the outside. Great review DHunter!

What the...a talking Batman car that has Batman's consciousness? LOL In other words OMAC crossed with KITT from Knightrider. What kills it for me is the outside shell- it kinda cheapens it with the coloring. I've not read the series, so I'm not sure if that's how the paint job looks like in the comics. It looks more like something for a customizer to play with. I'm passing on it, but I did get that White Knight motorcycle though. BTW- do you collect 1/6 scale Batman related items as well?

Yeaaah, interesting stuff but I don't think I'll give $80 for that one, that should be $30-40 at best. The roof feels flimsy (I saw the Chinese review), and there's no flooring on the inside of the car. It's only good now because that's the closest "Batmobile" we have to date but it's not worth buying for the current price.

well, i think the death metal figures did pretty well in sales, so it makes sense for todd to come out with vehicles from that storyline to test the waters for more expensive and large toys. and i think todd likes the design quirkiness of that storyline. he's even coming out with joker dragon right? if there were another vehicle he'd make, it would probably be from the Rebirth universe since that's the one he's pulled most of the JL characters he's released so far.

This toy is pretty much made for customization.

I have this preordered through amazon and it says it's suppose to ship out in a few days. and those aren't headlights, that's the blower for the engine. I'm not a fan of the cracked windshield since, as you showed, you can't really see the figure inside.

Thanks for the honesty in the reviews… I will get this Batmobeast; but in a clearance price…The top body reflects the monster truck plastic body that is used in real attractions…I’ll play around with making a more sturdy body in the future…

This Batmobeast pick-up looks way cooler then I thought it'd be. Not sure if I'd be willing to drop $80...but it looks like a hellva alot of fun to play with. I'd definitely take it for a spin in the mud/water. I need this!

I think the thing on the hood is the turbo air intake and not the head light. I'm surprise you don't have the legend of dark knight batbike. The one with the big bat head and shoot out its nose.

Too bad it didn’t come with a micro Batman to be crushed under the wheel like in the books.

See, I can see the inverse of your logic (though I don't disagree that almost any other vehicle they release would be more desirable) A batmobile from almost any era, any movie or story, will definitely sell... a piece this obscure though, if it sells, it opens up a lot of possibilities. If the Batmobeast moves, they could sell a huge Green Lantern vehicle construct, they could sell Diana's invisible jet, they could sell the Supermobile or baby Kal-El's escape pod. This could be a test to see how obscure a thing we'll buy as well as a large piece in this price range. I'm betting money that given the size of the package and the price point, this opens up small dioramas too. If Batmobeast gets me a Hall of Justice or a Fortress of Solitude dio, it's worth the buy. If it gets me a Doom Patrol Danny the Ambulance, it's totally worth it. That said, totally agree that a Keaton Batmobile, or even a Pattinson Batmobile, would have proven this SKU far more profitable than Batmobeast will, and been cheaper and smaller to boot.

I 100% feel that Todd is fully stepping up the line. Their newer figures are so much better than the older ones, along with the fact that I feel that we are getting more important characters. I know they are doing some questionable things *cough cough side eye cough cough*

This is what he decided to test the waters with..the amount of batmobiles from the comic's he could use, imagine if he done a proper Batman Noel batmobile,or any other one that is yet to be done.. But this is embarrassing

I saw this in target today. An it was a total turn off for 80.00 it's a super cheap and flimsy shell. Yes it feels very cheap and thin. I was expecting an actual car like top with doors and windows ect. Not a crappy shell it feels like a 25.00 kids toy not a high-end collectible.

Agree with your thoughts. Might as well just make a Keaton batmobile or even a Batman Beyond batmobile since they’ve been making figures from that universe lately

The McFarlane DC multiverse figures are such nice toys for the money I often feel like I’m missing out by not buying more of them but I find the selection so strange

Interesting. It looks like the body is done in a clear one piece shell and painted from inside. like an RC car. Not bad. Shame their first real full size batmobile for their 7 inch line was a monster truck and not a more classic batmobile but at least this is a start. Oh and the thing on the hood you take off is actually a blower, not lights. Sort of like what's on a dragster, which is why it's made to attach to the top of the engine. It's the air intake.

.why complain about something you dont like then buy TWO of them?! Shut up .target is only putting out 1 or 2 at a time and these wont be on sale for a long while IF , one can find it on sale. .if played right i just bought one an hour ago for $59.99 at target.

Great review . I thought this was going to be $40 . If it was $20 I was going to buy it. I'm. Surprise that McFarlane is making these toys so cheap what the hell is he thinking I'm not going to pay $80 for a cheap plastic toy and I haven't seen to RC cars at waltmart with the same plastic and. They are so frágile so big pass for me.

I appreciate your thoughts, but McFarlane is a big enough company now that they can put out really niche items from time to time that will make a really small group of collectors very happy, and I'm fine with that. I'm glad this thing exists for those people, and I doubt stuff like this will harm McFarlane's long term success in any way. They're huge now and only they would release this kind of stuff.

The material they used for the body is awful.

Todd McFarlane SUCKS! He ruined DC. Scale is gigantic unlike Hasbro Marvel Legends, Medicom Mafex, Amazing Yamaguchi and Mezco which is kind stable in terms of scale. Hope DC coming back to Mattel. David Vonner is more creative than Todd when making action figures/scaling. Unlike Tidd, bad decision making
