Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I know this may be controversial, especially for a Spawn fan,but this is the Spawn figure I've been dreaming of for YEARS. He lacks in accessories, but honestly he doesn't need many. It's a really great figure. Well done McFarlane.

Won't say your comment is controversial especially since a lot of Spawn fans would agree with you on this being the best spawn figure that's actually articulated. Only thing I disagree with you is this figure actually needs accessories because it limits doing more dynamic poses. Especially if you're a toy photographer you want multiple hands and accessories to get in more action poses. If you're just gonna vanilla pose him and leave him posed on a shelf then yeah, that's fine but for a lot of action figure collectors that isn't the case. Since we want more play with our figures and more options to pose and play with em plus it helps us love the figure more since we want the most bang for our bucks with these figures.

Finally, FULL articulation on a Spawn figure. Looks absolutely amazing just hope next time when they make more articulated Spawn figures they make the knees less ugly when you bend them in, other than that it's beautiful!

Great review Shart! Really looking forward to picking him up! I think as far as accessories and weapons go I think some people are forgetting that this is based on him in the game. In the game he might not use more than that sword. Now when we get our comic version I really hope he goes all out for some effects & weapons.

I wasn’t a really big fan of the giant huge cape/whole bunch of capes, but I’m so glad he made an actual articulated spawn, I loved the design of the commando spawn so seeing an actually articulated commando spawn figure would make me literally steal someone’s credit card just to buy it (just saying it’s probobly cuz of the scarf over the mouth replacing the cape, idk why but I love scarf over mouths)

Yooooo that old spawn is so dope, I went and looked for it on Ebay and it was over $100 so I opted for the cheaper green plasma version, painted it and sculpted it to look like the original and I'm still surprised how good it looks lol

I love this figure and I'm glad I picked it up. It's SUPPOSE to be around 20 bucks but I paid extra through Amazon to receive it since this figure did not hit the retail stores here where I live. Walmart, Gamestop, Target, all told me they wouldn't receive them till April and the local collector stores won't be receiving them till the summer. But I don't regret spending that much, I love it. The sword is dope, although I also gave him the super shotgun from the Doom Slayer figure and it looks GOOD!

Wow, it shocked me to see the 10th anniversary Spawn figurine in this review, I inquired and I did not know that it could be so expensive now! I'm glad I kept it for so many years! Concerning the new figurine, I can't wait to see it on amazon in order to import it into my country without being scammed by the shipping cost and customs fees!

Definitely agree with your issues with the figure. I wish he came with more like alternative hands, a cloth cape even the hamburger head sculpt as well some guns and the giant axe. Also Shart reason we haven't seen gameplay or actual game footage of Spawn yet is he's suppose to release as a DLC (Downloadable content) character next month. Which makes sense why the figure is coming out on March when he's suppose to come out on the game in March.

A gun rather then a sword would have been cool and an unmasked head. Maybe he uses that sword as his primary weapon in the game and that why they chose it. I'll still be getting it though, I love spawn and don't have any spawn figures. Hella sick review shartimus

Oh I love this Spawn Figure, definitely planning on picking up two of em', and believe it or not, this is a perfectly scaled Spawn figure for the 6 inch action figure line, because and not everybody knows this, but Spawn is actually frkn 6ft 11 not to confused with the Al Simmons height which is 6ft 2, no the actual character Spawn is 6ft 11, absolutely towering over anybody in the comics, too bad Ed Boon didn't enforce this in the Mortal Kombat game like he did with Hell Boy, who is also just a massive character not too many people are aware of being so large.
