McFarlane might have hit a gold mined with this licence. Im one of many people who don't play the game but appreciate the look and lore and would buy these up by the dozen.

The Necrons are my favorite race in 40k. They're a tragic race of immortal, undead zombie robots that got screwed over way hard by ancient Star Gods, as they pursued immortality. They were deceived, and their souls put into undying machines where only the highly advanced leaders have any semblance of personality left, and most are insane on some level. This Necron Warrior is a basic 7' tall footsoldier yes, made from the plebs, the civilians, the regular folk. Almost no personality left, they're uncaring, unfeeling, untiring deathless minions - kill one and he self-repairs and stands back up. Utterly destroy one and he'll zap back to his tombworld to get repaired and return to fight in endless wars later. You can compare him to basically a T-800 Terminator without the personality but heaps of tragedy and lore.

I really need to stop watching reviews of stuff I never thought about getting, cause now I want it.

You know oddly this Necron just looks like it could be a cool custom of Metallo.

These guys are some of the scariest buggers in the 40k universe. Their basic guns strip things molecule by molecule, they are formidable enough to kill Space Marines in all types of combat and have been known to comeback from the dead. And their gods are a mix of Galactus and Cthulhu.

I know next to nothing about Warhammer, but this a pretty sweet figure.

The Necrons are basicly edgy space egyptians who traded their mortal bodies and souls to become immortal and immune to disease and made a deal with the star gods, but what they got was becoming skeleton robot warriors with most of them having no emotions, they are currently waking up across the galaxy which makes them the main threat faced by the Imperium of man (the main good but not so good guys human faction in warhammer) which is why they are releasing these guys first But if you want to get into warhammer , i suggest going for the Space marines, they are the face of warhammer and in a nutshell imagine if Captain america was twice as strong, has power armor that can shrug off tank shots, and carry big machine guns with High explosive rounds as their default weapon. Yeah thats your basic marine. The one we keep seeing . They are the elite of the imperium The necrons uses gauss weapons that destroy its target on a molecular level....so yeah...thats what that gun does

Oh wow, that looks _a lot_ nicer in person. All the stock photos that you see on store websites make the paint look overly shiny and thick. It's got more articulation than I was expecting too.

Now this is 40K action figures! If G.W. had brains they would have agreed with DC comics back around 2010 and 2014 to their line of action figures by now we would have gotten loads of them, they wanted to get Vertigo to make them a comic series, but G.W. said no on the accounts that they could not make it Grim Dark enough

I feel like I've wanted Warhammer figures for ages. Never got into the minis but love the lore and video games. Loved play Necrons in Dawn of War. Basically just terminators that just don't die. Perfect line to army build.

A warning to anyone deciding to study the lore of Warhammer 40k because of the new figures being produced by bandai and mcfarlane toys...... you will fall into a deep, deep hole of characters, races and lore. Fortunately there is a wealth of information on Warhammer from various channels on KZfaq that you can look up at your leisure.

I don't who Warhammer is, but I know that he will be a good metallo custom figure.

Yours seems to stand much better than mine. Mine's ratchets in the ankle are not aligned properly making him unable to balance without the included stand. Also the Dr. Wu Dark Star Saber looks great with it in those pictures.

I certainly hope we get more from this license. But hey, if these two are all we get then I’ll be a happy camper.

"I'm guessing this is a ground level, basic infantry bad guy". There are no good guys in the Warhammer 40K universe. Even the guys who could be considered good are actually pretty damn bad as well. Like saying Lex Luthor is a good guy because he's not like The Joker.

Necrons are one of the anciest race of Warhammer . They sold their souls to the gods and became metallic beings with no will besides the Kings who rules them. This figure Is the standard warrior , the little robot is called scarab and they moves in swarms to assist other necrons units .
