I'm surprised that Danny's voice is basically the same. Not that surprised about Tom. He has a lot of range and basically never has to sing close to his edge. He sings very effortlessly.

This is what you call changing a song up enough so it always feels fresh. Professional performers who give the audience so much vibes and fun. Wish I'd been able to see them live at some point but dates never matched up.

@@74MattyI think mixing the vocals at similar level as the instruments is quite common in non-pop music. Most rock bands mix the vocals like this. You can still here it clearly on a pair of good speakers or headphones.

They're insanely good musicians, and this song really shines with the heavier sound... I love the half time breakdown 3:22. Shoutout to the sound engineers on this performance too, everything sounds fantastic. Guitars and bass really shining.

I am so so so so SO glad to see them back now properly. They have been my favourite band my entire childhood. I am a 2002 baby, and when I say I grew up with them is an absolute understatement. I had posters, T shirts, spent most my nights watching the compilation videos on KZfaq. Without sounding insane, these guys are my entire childhood.

What a blast! Never understood why they got so much crap back in the day from the “serious” music audience. They did an interview with Guitarist magazine once upon a time, and they and the mag got so many bitchy comments from “proper” guitar players for daring to appear in the mag. They’re good singers and musicians, and clearly having fun, so just enjoy it!

Nostalgia GUT PUNCH watching this music video on REPEAT on my fat little box computer screen, downloading it onto my first video pad thing so I could watch mcfly everywhere all day, getting my dad hooked onto mcfly n he would lisn every day on his way to work. LITERALLY dying 5 colors Into my fuckin hair, prime mcfly poster real estate on my teen bedroom walls, TAKING PICTURES OF EACH PAGE of every album brochure thingy on my lil flip phone. emo mcfly fangirl in the 2000’s was something to experience! Almost got my star girl tattoo but chickened out at the parlor. Buthey it’s OBVIOUSLY not too late 🌠

The original drum parts on the record were much more sophisticated, he plays really basic on this. Is it possible he's a worse drummer now than he was 20 years ago? Surely not, but how were the original drum parts so much better? I mean it almost sounds like a totally different drummer.........oh wait.

hm i dont really know what you mean with the last sentence.... but besides that, yeah i noticed the drums were simpler in this live version but maybe this is the sound they were trying to go for? it sounds a lot heavier, a lot more raw, more punk - reminded me a little of Green Day, for example - and a basic, continuous and fast-paced drum style is very characteristic of this kind of sound
