y'all think too much, that's your problem. The human race is becoming too intelligent and self-aware for it's own good. As someone that also has severe anxiety, take several deep breaths and realize that it ain't that deep. There is no over-arching purpose to this thing we call life, just take it as it comes.

my 2 favorite lines in this entire song “my anxiety tells me their better without me” and “am i talking to much or not enough” i’ve been dealing with the fact my “friends” were emotionally manipulating and bullying me for 2 whole years. they were the reason all my mental health issues are so bad. this song hits so hard and i really relate to it. i even started crying. for those who are in a toxic friendship and don’t know what to do. try to end as quick as possible. you want it to be out of your hands before it gets bad like it did for me. you deserve so much better, it’ll be ok if you are going through this.

I’ve felt this way for 10 years, not many people know how to be a good friend and I’m not saying you have to reply right away but when you see your “friend” communicate with other people and that they are willing to put in time and effort into their other friends it makes you think about where you stand in their life and for me it’s happened quite a few times.

The 'friends' I had who did that to me were losers doing heavy drugs with those other friends which I would not do. They were pretending to be better people with me but when I saw what they were really like, when I saw them with those other people, I found they were actually people I never would have associated with to begin. Very mean malicious spiteful wretches. Friends come and go anyway, if you get along with a sibling, they will be a far better friendship than any other person.

@@fosminclorin depends on the specific anxiety and person. Depression can present as becoming withdrawn and isolated, but a much better tell is a person's cognitive function (are there memory lapses, can they distinguish what's real and what isn't, etc.). There's a lot of specific disorders and just as many causes and symptoms. The best thing you can do is talk to people and keep an eye out for unusual behaviors or speech patterns. If any of those present, bring it to a mental health physician as soon as possible for further advice.

As someone who has anxiety, depression and social anxiety, this song goes a long way after my best friend became incredibly toxic. I have scoliosis (I was diagnosed two years ago) and she constantly made fun of me and called me horrible names, talked behind my back and told people even though I asked her not to. This song showed me I’m not alone in this cruel world. ❤❤

I can’t say how accurate this is too many times. This song and video hit me where it really hurt. The ringing at the end was perfect to illustrate how our paranoia can make those few minutes of waiting feel like an eternity of tormenting ourselves. And even when we very well know its paranoia, we can’t help but feeling those feelings of inferiority

I literally dread going to school because I only have like three friends and somehow they always push me away like I'm not worth it, and I message them, hoping to get a response, but they either never do, or when they do, they'd make me out to be a villain. Feeling this way is a symptom of depression and it explains a lot for me having dealt with both for so long. The cinematography is a perfect depiction of this hole of depression. The lighting, the body language, the transitions, mannerisms, everything was spot on.

yup all your friends hate you okay kidding for real. I love this song, it's like she read my mind. When I found it a while back I was so creeped out by how accurately it expressed my thoughts, I cried so bad. "I don't I don't know" like that feeling when you know there are these people that are officially your friends but you feel like they're not being there for you or not answering or hanging out with other people and not inviting you but you don't know if you're just imagining things or what cause if you'd ask them they'd be like "sorry I totally care about you, we're friends! I was just busy...." My high school experience summed in 3 minutes and 43 seconds. Gosh I'm glad that's over now.

McKenna, this song really hits the feels and I relate. If you're friends don't hang around you when times are bad and they only wanna hang with you when it's convenient for them, then they aren't right for you. I learned that a long time ago. And I think a lot of people need to hear this message. We all feel alone sometimes. But it's the worst moments in life that make us the strongest...

I’ve felt this way a lot since middle school and more recently. It hits different when you’re growing up and people move or they change while it feels like you’re the only one who hasn’t. I told a guy that I overthink too much for him to not respond. I feel like people don’t understand that I’m a overthinking people pleaser and it hurts. If one person doesn’t respond in a appropriate time I feel like everyone will do that and a cycle comes to “they never liked me, they only talked to me because…, am I a burden? Do I rely on people too much?” I just don’t want to be alone.😖🫠 Jesus help us.❤️🩹

This is really relatable, everyday I overthink things like if my friends hate me or they think I’m annoying and sometimes I just can’t stop thinking about it, and when I text friends of mine they don’t answer for days at a time. And I feel alone all the time, at school, at home, with friends, or with family. I just don’t know what I can do anymore. But thank you McKenna, this helps a lot! ❤️✨

I think it's the better to have people in your life in order to question if they hate you than to not even have someone to worry about that with. No matter how much I may try to reach out and have a friendship with people, they can't even acknowledge me on things like my birthday. Far too many birthdays have been spent alone, so I just can't keep trying anymore.
