As a dancer how do i catch on to choreography faster? That’s what always kills me in an audition because they are only for like 3/4 Days sometimes, i feel like it would take 4-5 days for me to perform a choreography and master it 😕

T0rii W get with the person that you feels know the choreography the best and practice with them. It will get better over time trust me. Pace yourself but also remember as much as you can because as you move up in dance the shorter time you will have to remember the choreography

As an old German guy , I can express only my deepest respect for so much work. If I compare the carnival dancing groups here , ok they are older, but they are the only dancers, except in tv, with that young ladies, I understand why USA is leading the show business. Yes I am really envious.

mylifeisgray10 those passés could’ve been better and those back attitude leaps (specifically the girl next to Brianni). her front leg was bent 😭 like Jada said calypso, not double attitude. their toes did make me cringe especially on the needle and kicks

Do you have any tips for girls who would tryout for a majorette team? If so can you please share them, I truly love dance but I’ve never been on a official team...I have this tryout coming up and I really would like to be prepared with tips or expectations😁

My top faves regarding all aspects was the chocolate girl @ 27:35 in the front center and the chocolate curvy girl far left in the beginning of the video with the Bob. I hope they make it! As for the tryouts these girls are sooooo out of shape and I understand you get training once you make the team but this is not for play this is an actual dance team. People need to understand when trying out for any sport at that you need good stamina. If you are huffing and puffing and looking weak in the face in just try outs sweet pea you need to train for endurance. Jada had no problems with her stamina shows how well she has prepared as A dancer. Also these girls not going full out in training is a no .. no. Remember this is TRY OUTS you need to show your capabilities even more so now and then maintain them later. My captain always told me what you do in practice will show on the floor. So if you not full out in practice don't expect to full out to the best of your ability on the floor. That's how I stood out going full out in practice and even more full out on the floor. This is just my opinions of course.

Wow I cannot believe this many girls audition. This really is not a joke. I live in Ohio and I cannot stand the way the young ladies dance here. They don't practice, they think they can just get out there and dance. Girl bye, to look like this takes dedication and hard work, if you can't commit to that don't dance. These children are amazing, every single one of them.

Dionte Brown the young women teaching the dance is Jada. She is a dancing doll at SU and the former captain for McKinley High 2016 you should look up her videos as captain. Her tecnique is second to none

Ariel MyBelle her turns are very messy, her jumps were so low to the ground. Her technique may be second to none on her team but that doesn’t say much when she needs a lot of work.

Nameless Creature why are you so angry lol the name calling was unnecessary. I can only judge her based on this video and her technique was shitty. Im not going to apologize for that. I don’t care where she dances, she’s not immune to criticism. I’ve seen those “dolls” on video and they are ok. I wasn’t blown away. All I say was a bunch of hair whips I didn’t see technique at all. But back to this video. Home girl was not good at all. Her toe touch was so low to the ground I couldn’t believe that it. And those turns were very poor.

Tarik Morris I don’t have any technique. I did not do contemporary or ballet. But although I did not do it I am still able to understand and appreciate with I see good technique. I danced with a lot of girls who had great technique.

Dionte Brown I'm curious are you a trained dancer? Because I am and what she is doing is very hard and she makes it look like she's prancing for fun which is what it's suppose to look like. The girls trying out were probably picked out of at least 100 girls because they showcased enough techniques to learn a routine. If you're a dancer, the instructor should never have to over exert themselves while teaching so you're right her jumps are low to the ground because her job is to teach, not perform. When she performs it's ooon!! Like, she can't be stopped, comes for blood edges first borns, all that.
