This is song is very accurate to her character. Especially the parts where she says that she is just an accomplice with no actual identity. It really goes to show that here entire character was consumed by Danganronpa. It was everything to her, to the point where she was barely much of a person. Her talent suits her too. Since she views herself as plain and without much in the way of character, she imitates those that do. Cosplay is her way of escaping her own perceived flaws. Additionally, Junko is her idealized version of what she believes would make her interesting. Therefore, she emulates her the most. Ironically, Tsumugi's desire to perpetuate the show is not very accurate to Junko's own personality, since Junko wanted to fall into despair herself instead of winning. Really, it just further demonstrates how much Tsumugi relied on the show to give herself an identity. A poor imitation of someone she desired to be. In the end, she was a victim to her own obsession. Of course, I could be wrong about all of this. Feel free to say that I am.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THE SONG IS 3 MINUTES LONG WITH *53* SECONDS??????

As a musician this song is absolutely fascinating. It feels like a beat is skipped when she sings "its such", and it sounds odd... but then you listen to it more and realize that its completely intentional. It's Tsumugi "skipping" from her role as someone involved to mastermind. The ending too... not even a cadence, the sudden ending is so abrupt and gives the feeling of "wait... there's more, right?" But there isn't, thats the end.

You know, out of all villains, Shirogane took losing with the most grace in the end. Really does make me think she Genuinely believed that is what people wanted in the end.

I'm halfway sure it's intentional but I love how tsumugi struggles to fit in "perfect fiction" within the beat, it feels slightly desperate in a very cool way, that or it's just a cool effect idk I'm no music doctor

to be fair, this is perfect in every way for tsumugi. call this overanalyzing, but the song itself is such a accurate representation of her as a character? like? i’ve got so much on my mind i need to separate this into bullet points lmao 1. the song doesn’t have too many major drops or beats, it’s rather _plain_ (if you catch my eye). even at the chorus it’s not a major drop, it’s just like tsumugi, plain and basic. but that’s what makes it so good, because it doesn’t have much going on (till the end that is). it goes a pitch or so higher, and it’s a more sped up (at least i think it is?) which is very symbolic of v3’s ending and her sudden reveal as the mastermind imo. 2. the choice of lyrics towards the end: “what’s a lie? what’s the truth?” because it reminds me of “what’s a lie? is it lies? only lies?” which is from kokichi’s song, so maybe a small reference to their unsaid rivalry? just me? yeah okay i’ll take my leave- 3. the song abruptly ending was a nice homage to the rock that just came out of no where to kill mugi, lol. 4. i can’t tell if this one is intentional or not, but the vocaloid used for this song (gumi) is the same one who sang the original “copycat” (if you haven’t heard it, i recommend it sm it’s an awesome song) and copycat is very fitting for tsumugi’s character tbh. 5. this is completely unrelated, but wow that “i’m just an accomplice to the synopsis” is so catchy djdisoskw, man i can’t wait to put this song on loop every morning. tl;dr: mcki robyns-p is a lyrical genius and needs more

This song perfectly captures everything I love about Tsumugi as a character. I don’t care what the rest of the fandom says, she will always be one of my favorite characters in the franchise.

I think one thing that goes rather unnoticed in these songs is the typography. I have to admit, I didn't like it at first but then it hit me: it wasn't meant to be attractive or make you feel some kind of way. The overused Aerial (that's what I'm assuming) doesn't make you feel anything, it's just..plain. Like Tsumugi. Every single font style symbolizes their character: The impact font has a lot of weight to it, symbolizing Kokichi's desperate need for attention while Kaede's rather soft, lightweight font symbolizes her kindness and purity. The Aerial font is a reference to Tsumugi constantly saying how plain and boring she is. But the moment we realize she is the mastermind, we get this geometric, compelling font, reflecting on her excitement for continuing the killing game and forming a new identity. Nice job as always! This is might be my favorite!

I’m in the Japanese fandom of Danganronpa This song is truly amazing, the lyrics are describing literally everything I love about Tsumugi and the melody is just addictive. Finally, a fan song for my favourite V3 character. Tsumugi is a really unique villain because of the absolute control she has over the murders. In comparison to Junko, who puts people in equally awful situations to see what they'll do (to each other) to escape it; Tsumugi leaves little to chance, planning out murders seemingly in advance of the whole game. Look at chapter 3: The chapter opens with the opening of the 4th floor; containing the empty classrooms and Kiyo & Angie's labs. The necronomicon is stated as the motive of the chapter, but this is at least mostly a lie; the real motive is the ritual book in Kiyo's lab, which awakens his memories as a murderer like what happened with Kirumi. The 4th floor also contains all the tools for him to perform his seance murder, so by the time the floor opens he's already planning. The necronomicon does keep Angie in her lab though, on the same floor as Kiyo. This makes her the prime target, especially when their work schedules lead to them going to the empty rooms at the same time. What's more is that the empty class rooms are set up such that Tsumugi could climb under the floorboards in one room to move to the seance room and "confirm" Kiyo's kill, if it ended up failing like Kaede's. None of this was left up to chance because not only did Tsumugi design the floor, she also wrote up everyone's personalities and gave them their ultimate talents; allowing her to predict every move they made well in advance of so much as meeting them. Victims & killers were already decided before anyone stepped foot in the Academy. But that's also her big weakness, and why she eventually loses hold of things. She plans so far ahead of time & implements those plans through the Academy's architecture and everyone's initial personality insertion, that she has few ways to keep things on track mid game. And as soon as one thing goes off track in her finely crafted machine, it bumps into everything else. And bless her heart, she tires to improvise, but she is not good at it. Good thing she had a heck of a back-up plan for the finale by showing of her cosplaying. I didn't think cosplaying could be intimidating until I saw a girl who's a cosplayer in the same way Goku is a martial artist.

This is so cool!! A song about my favorite mastermind, Tsumugi! I really like the part where she goes "I'm just an accomplice" because it shows that even though she was technically the "mastermind", she wasn't the "true" mastermind, which was the outside world who wanted this. She was just another cog in the organization that was "Team Danganronpa" and just another mindless follower from the outside world.

As Usual, these songs keep making us want to sob and are absolute bangers all the time, Probably one of my favorite songs of yours, I loved the high notes and I loved the painful yet clever references. ALSO THAT ENDING LMFAOO THE CUT-OFF.

This would be perfect boss fight music. The fast-paced beats, the wild psychopop singing of the lyrics, not to mention the lyrics themselves fit the character, makes me think of Tsumugi getting a super-upgraded Exisal just to keep you from destroying her "perfect fiction". With Phase 2 being Tsumugi herself and her various cosplays. "I gave my life to Danganronpa, I will sure as hell lay down my life for it! oh my gosh discovering this song after years of not being into dr and it's just, all the memories flooding back. i was so intrigued by shirogane's character and her tangle with her love for dr and simultaneous conflict with her identity...or lack of it, rather, instead replacing said identity by that 'perfect fiction.' i think this song perfectly and subtly captures that -- her struggle, her motives, character, everything while also being really catchy. gumi is perfect for her too, there are quite a few famous gumi songs that can easily fit shirogane's character...all in all fantastic work, it's lovely seeing you active again!

I do like how you had her crying at Gonta's death, as there were some implications that she actually had some feelings toward him (I don't know if it's his gentlemanly nature, or his red eyes). I also love how this ended so abruptly. Matches up with how she died.

I loved it! I like how the overall song was pretty plain and monotone, but it slowly started to vary and get more excited ESPECIALLY when Junko showed up. Overall, I think this really encapsulates Tsumugi, you and Circus-P did such a good job, and she will forever be one of my top tier Danganronpa characters!

I’d been spoiled by fan art that Shirogane had more to her than her design alone let on, and that Enoshima appears (in one way or another) in every game, but I still had no idea how the game would make her that important. Then come when I played V3, immediately out the gate when the students were revealing their talents, Cosplayer made me equate it to Enoshima’s fake “Fashionista” talent. I’ve gotta wonder if after when Akamatsu quite literally poked at Shirogane in the intro, (and the secret event when she looks on at Amami and Akamatsu getting along in disgust) if that’s why she let Akamatsu take the fall. Of course the reveal about the world being “Real Fiction” and the 53rd season of a show makes sense why Shirogane didn’t reveal the truth sooner as she’s got a show to run, and can’t let it end during the first episode of the Season, but I can’t wonder if that exchange where Akamatsu wouldn’t leave her alone and then got all chummy with Amami played a part too.
