McLeodganj is a beautiful hill station in Dharamshala. Dharamshala has two parts, the lower part is called Dharamshala and the upper part is called McLeod Ganj. And today's video is of McLeod Ganj which is about 10 kms away from Dharamshala.
My stay was in McLeod Ganj and today I was going to see two special attractions of McLeod Ganj. And they were Bhagsunath Temple and Bhagsunag Waterfall .
After having tea at McLeod Ganj Square at 6 am, I went out to see the Bhagsunag Temple and the Bhagsunag waterfall. The temple was still crowded, so first I went to see the waterfall, which was about 1 kilometer from the temple.
This waterfall falls from a height of about 20 meters and which looks very beautiful, its volume increases a lot in monsoon. Bhagsunag waterfall has become a famous tourist spot of Dharamshala, you feel relaxed after coming here. Here you can spend hours sitting here. There are many small cafes around Bhagsunag fall where you can eat and drink. After seeing the Bhagsunag waterfall, now was the time to visit the Bhagsunag temple.
This temple is an ancient temple of Dharamsala which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the local deity Nag Devta.
Bhagsunag temple is about one and a half kilometer away from McLeod Ganj Market. According to mythological stories, King Bhagsu stole water from the Nag Dal lake, seeing which the Nag Devta became angry. And then the king apologized to the Nag Devta and built a temple in his honor.
Presently this temple is maintained by a specific Gorkha community. And they also built 2 kundas and a two storey house for pilgrims.
Bhagsunag Temple and Bhagsunag Waterfall are two attractions are one of the main attraction of McLeod Ganj.
See you soon with new video.
