@Joanna Taylor Whilst I completely recognise that people are (rightly) disgusted by that allegation, it's simply not true. The handling of Sussex police's investigation exposes a mistreatment of victims- none of the four were willing to support police actions, but none of them has been told that there was another accuser. This was a decision made by the police and the reviewing prosecution lawyer, not by Starmer. The main reason he's been linked to the case is because, after Saville's death, he commissioned a review in to CPS's handling of the cases, and subsequently apologised on behalf of CPS. Later, he argued for legislation requiring professionals to report suspected child abuse, and proposed altering the tests used to assess victims' credibility which have contributed to a lack of action in Rochdale, Saville and numerous other cases. He gave a really informative speech to UCL in 2014 about the handling of sexual abuse cases by CPS. I'd definitely recommend you watch it, I believe it can be found on youtube.
