With only a few stops left for the day, the load was getting pretty tight. Just keep packing.

She ain't full until she's full... IMO the truck's still empty unless the packer is barely moving lol You can tell she built up some pressure with the way she springs back upon retracting, gotta appreciate the power of hydraulics! Actually had a good look at the blade in this video, everything seemed to fall off pretty well. Loved the exploding glass at 8:50 :P Looks like you were running the compactor in a few different modes... manual and continuous looked popular! Awesome work!

There was another truck helping me out on my route, so I had to drive around a little bit to make sure everything was picked up. Normally, I don't go down a street more than once per side.

@MitchellM15 I don't consider it full until the packer stops either. I try to keep the packer running non-stop. There were a few times when it wouldn't pop back, so I'd have to retract it manually.

SoxFan1519 Sorry it took so long to reply. This truck isn't out of Melrose Park. It's an Elgin truck, 2471, that has been transferred elsewhere now.

Sorry, I'm really slow on comments sometimes.Thanks! It's a Swann Freestyle HD, made in Oz if i remember correctly. Cheers!

Nice footage, nothing really to pick up huh? Wow something popped at 8:51, that was weird at 9:10 the blade comes down and there before you is a cardboard box still in it's original shape :P And weird, then you drove down the same street later in the video to see that cardboard box again O.o Nice video.

As for the box, the space between the pack-assist panel and the body is bigger than it appears.

do you ever get trash that falls behind the packer blade?
@davidmcclellan99555 жыл бұрын
Yes trash does get behind the blade but there's side door so u can clean it out and the pack assist blade trash gets on top of it but most time is easy to clean out that's a good question u asked 👍

Is this truck 2402, 2403, or 2404? I know 2401's old driver got 2413 after 2401 was sent off. Your Republic Services is the Melrose Park. Tell me the truck number and if I'm right.

The injury rates for workers even doing recycling is something that companies that look at. If they can reduce or eliminate it why not. You’ve also expanded the labor force that can do the job as well. Eye hand coordination, good driving skills versus those plus the willingness to jump in and out of a truck for 8-10 hours a day. I did recycling side load years ago. Thought I was in great shape when I started. I was wrong. I got in great shape from doing it. The number of people willing to work at the pace we did years ago just isn’t there.
