01:00:44 “Krist hurls his bass at Kurt (or at the floor/speakers) and walks offstage. The band was under contract to play for 90 minutes, so the crew had to retrieve Krist to finish the set. Há 26 anos atrás dia 16 de Janeiro 1993 o Nirvana fazia seus dois únicos shows no Brasil iniciando em SP. Na época eu tinha só 5 anos. Mais tenho um tio que foi no show do Nirvana e teve o privilégio de ficar bem de frente ao palco. Sempre que tem churrasco de família e põe Nirvana para tocar ele lembra do show e me conta com tantas riquezas de detalhes. Enfim o NIRVANA é incrível sensacional, por isso que é lembrado até hoje. A melhor banda da década de 90 isso é inegável.

Bear in mind that was 25 years ago. but I remember that L7 gig was pretty intense. The girls they were all jumping around and very energetic and as I was very close to the stage I remember seeing Courtney Love standing on the side of the stage the whole show. Alice in Chains was pretty solid. Layne stood on his spot pretty much the whole time and close to the end of the gig he sat at the edge of the stage looking at the crowd and carried on from there. It's hard to tell which one was best gig as I was on my 16 totally full on those bands. It was the grunge era and we were free! Even Nirvana gig that was pretty shit, I remember that was as happy I could be just to be there. I knew right away on that day that I was witnessing some very special moment of music history.

Ricardo Scappini that is really kool, thanks for the response and insight. I had commented previously on another video to someone who was from Brazil, but I would like to say the same thing to you as well. Your people really know how to support bands and have a great time doing so, the entire concert seemed epic and that comes so much from the energy you guys brought at the shows. From what I have seen and read, biggest shapes any of those bands ever played and crowds were on fire! Cheers my friend.

Eu tinha 14 anos e pude viver isso! Foi muito importante naquele momento da minha vida, eu AMAVA Nirvana e foi uma emoção imensa viver aquele dia. Teve Dr. Sin, Engenheiros do Hawai, L7 e Nirvana fechando! Um calooooor!! Mas era verão e era uma delícia esses shows que rolavam no verão. Saudade dos "Hollywoods Rock". Emoção ver essas imagens!!! Na época a gente não tinha smartphone e era proibido entrar no estádio com câmera!!!

It's a unique show in Nirvana's history, even though it's the worst.

Last part is awesome. Not much video/audio of Kurt on drums, so hats off to whoever posted this. It's a hard to find video ,well was hard to find,. seasons in the sun is one of my favorites. My Sharona is another favorite of Kurt's cover (not in this set) wish more covers were captured on video.

Na época do hollywood Rock, a banda veio para o Brasil se divertir. O show foi uma comédia! Mesmo assim eu queria ter o privilégio de ter curtido, de está lá no Morumbi. Lembro do nome NIRVANA passando nas matérias do Jornal nacional... Tinha apenas 10 anos de idade. Valeu por disponibilizar algumas imagens raras do show.

At the time of hollywood Rock , the band came to Brazil have fun. The show was a comedy ! Still I wanted to have the privilege of having tanned , of is there in Morumbi. Eu estava nesse show histórico! Dizem (tanto o público quando a crítica) que foi uma porcaria de show. Mas não sou músico pra saber se eles tocaram mal ou não (menos ainda pra saber se o Kurt tocou mal de propósito), não entendi nada das polêmicas da época (entrevista do Kurt na Veja, falas do João Gordo, etc), não me lembro mais quais eram essas polêmicas, nem quero saber disso quase 30 anos depois. Sei que era um show do Nirvana! E sei que Nirvana é da hora demais!

It's likely that the full concert (including the soundcheck) was recorded in the same quality as all the songs from D-7 to Territorial Pissings, so we just gotta wait. It's as likely that this could literally just get leaked today as it is likely it will never get leaked and we'll never get to hear it

Kurt was all sorts of fucked up at this concert, it's a miracle he could even stand. Tho it makes for interesting material. We will we will fondue you :P Hope he's where he wanted to be, we'll see you again in the next life. Thanks for the music!

Se nota que estragaram o show de propósito, meio que e uma atitude anti mainstream, Kurt mandou apagar algumas luzes que ofuscavam sua visão, tem um momento que usa um jargão tipo de rock star " vocês estão curtindo" e grita "rock'n roll" em forma de sarcasmo Kurt mudou a letra de something in the way com frases tipo " embaixo de uma grande ponte, me nego a pagar impostos, se eu cagasse no palco, voce comeria tudo, voce pode comparar guns roses com led zeppelin".... zuaram um trecho da musica do iron maiden e Kurt posou como um guitar hero, trocaram de instrumentos e fizeram uma jam, tocaram uns covers aleatórios, Dave Ghrol percebeu que a galera estava frustada e comentou de forma humorada "onde estão nossos guarda costas vão nos matar" muita gente só conhecia as músicas que tocavam nas rádios e claro que ficaram sem entender nada e com muito ódio, enfim um show atípico mas que vale o registro principalmente para os fiéis fãs da banda.

Apparently João Gordo from Ratos de Porão gave a speech in the intro with stuff Krist Novoselic wrote. João claims to have poisoned Nirvana's members with a lot of crap about the festival, how the tickets were expensive and being sponsored by a cigarette brand (Hollywood Cigarettes). Apparently the speech went in that direction. João Gordo intro: "Have a good show, and have lots of fun! Thank you very much, and sorry if someone was offended. With you, the biggest underground band of all times: NIRVANAA!"

Gordo read Krist's speach because he gave an interview for Veja's magazine published 6 days before the show which one of his answers were took out of context and the headline was something like "our fans are idiots".

I was at that concert in São Paulo, it was not bad at all, far from it, Nirvana played an awesome gig, Cobain wasn´t fuck up, you must be confusing it with the gig in Rio de Janeiro, which Kurt fucked up in purpose, in protest against the Globo Organization, a Brazilian brodcast channel famous for lying and manipulating the brazilian public. Once Kurt learnt that Globo would be transmitting their gig live, and what a piece of shit and evil organization it was, he decided to fuck it up*14 minutes feedback lol). That´s why Kurt spit and shoved his dick on the on the camera, he was actually spitting on Globo´s face, this evil, criminal, piece of shit organization. 1:00:45 you can hear krist throw his bass at something and storm off the stage, this is because Kurt took a lot of drugs before the concert and was absent for most of lounge act but then began playing an untuned guitar, this is why krist is absent for territorial pissings.

@@micaela7159 Kurt's playing wasn't super technical and he knew it. A dorian mode is a scale those shredder type guitarists would use. And that's who you typically see on GW magazine. Kurt is poking fun at himself a bit and also those guitarists.
