I remember that! That scared me when I am age 6. The Virgin Mary became the Eastern Orthodox "Icon" of the company. So they cropped the virgin's left eye as of Theotokos of Vladmir's icon. And also lightning strikes around the picture.

Oh yes I know the film company Icon really well and I love its logo featuring a small crop of the mother's left eye from the Theotokos of Vladimir icon, an Eastern Orthodox icon of Mary, mother of Jesus. In March 2018, Icon UK was sold and reformed to Kaleidoscope Film Distribution. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
