Becker never won a clay tournament but he played so well in this surface. Underrated. He had really classy shots from both ends -- effortlessly hitting winners. Also, his semi-final against Edberg in Roland Garros 89, a serve and volley battle on clay, was just extraordinary. Unthinkable today and yet so fun to watch. Look it up.

From this list, Becker takes it. Back in the day to pull off such a shot with old-tech gear on clay was absolutely impossible, until Boris did it. It was insane.

Choosing Becker is a sensible choice because hitting a winning Tweener on the run is probably the most risky shot in men's tennis. Just imagine hitting a tennis ball between the nuts and getting it wrong. 😅

Becker’s tweener was amazing. Never got why Federer’s USO2009 tweener is considered such a “gold standard” when there have been many better tweeners before and after it tbh

Before Federer, players did not attempt tweeners at a grand slam and certainly did not hit tweener winners the way Fed did. So it's more common now but name better tweeners before Federer - I'll give you one to start - Becker in Monte Carlo. Your turn. LOL
