Welcome back and thank you for being here! I was genuinely surprised this ELA didn’t fit well in our homeschool. I had not heard one negative thing about it prior to ordering. Goes to show how different curriculum fits families differently….and that is perfectly fine! ❤️

Have you tried any of the curriculum from Micheal Clay Thompson? Tell me it went better🫣

I’ve heard Poodle can be more stories than curriculum. We went right for the Island level which is labeled for a gifted 3-4 grader. I can see why they say that because of the nuance and dry humor. My kids and I love it but they are on the more advanced side.

Oh and Michael Clay Thompson strongly suggests kids follow in the student books to help them understand what is going on. I make mine look at the teacher book when I read because I’m cheap lol But of course this style is not everyone’s cup of tea! It’s good to make videos like this so people have a variety of opinions 😊

Thanks for sharing your honest review! It can be difficult when your going against popular opinion for sure! I’ve always wanted to try MCT, but so far the people I know who have used them, have liked it but for one reason or another discontinue it. In the older levels, some people have found them overwhelming. I’m still very curious about it, but it’s great to hear the pros and cons!
