Wow! This is totally why my car has been all over the place in turns. Just started doing on road racing and noticed. Kind figured it was my camber! Thanks.

Great tips. I was checking my camber gain this past weekend but never mimicking a load. Will do this when I get home for sure.

Well, all that is fine but it really depends on the tires you run and the grip of the track you race on. If the grip is lower, less camber gain is better because you won't be able to use the static + dynamic camber change, the outside of the tire will never be loaded. If the track is high grip then yes, more camber gain is better because otherwise the internal part of the tire might lift and loose grip during cornering.

This will affect the roll centre as well. Do you make any roll centre changes at the lower arm mounts to compensate for these upper link changes?

Very nice video! Help me a lot. What is this setup station and I race 1/10 touring and 1/8 gt has a good setup station that cover these two class?
@guitarzzero Жыл бұрын
Hey Buddy, aren’t you raising the the roll center quite a bit by changing the camber link angle? Stiffen the back end = Less camber change anyway?

maybe you can answer this, why is everyone using a spool in the front for these beltjobbies? wouldnt that impair steering and cornering? and i used your tricks setting up my car earlier, nice tips loading the car up in a twisty way. made all the difference when pushing the corners today.

In full sized cars yes, but in these smaller lighter cars it works. Helps pull the car straight out of a corner. Apparently they can be unstable exiting the corners with a diff.

This just tells me that RC companies (even the serious racing brands) have no idea how to design proper suspension geometry 🤣😅
