MCU Phases 4 & 5 Are BETTER Than The Entire DCEU!

Yes... I said it... I think that phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are better than the entire DC Extended Universe. I know that the DCEU has dropped some amazing movies like Zack Synder's Justice League and Man Of Steel or even more recently things like James Gunn's The Suicide Squad and hit tv show Peacemaker, but I think that Marvel has had some heavy hitters too like Spider-Man: No Way Home or Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3! It is all opinion, but this is mine!

Do you guys like the longer videos or for future hot takes videos should I shorten the video? ALSO this is just my opinion. Im not trying to convince you that I am right. I am just explaining my thought process.

Bro this isn’t even a hot take I completely agree with you lol we all know phase 4 and 5 had some problems but they stilled had a lot of good movies and shows like guardians of the galaxy 3 black panther 2 Loki S2 and moonkight etc etc and awhile I haven’t seen the watched all of the dceu movies ( I stoped at Shazam 1 but I still watch all the else worlds movies like the joker, the Batman, the suicide squad etc ) but other then those movies all the main line decu movies left me disappointed and wanting more especially the flash and Shazam fury of the gods. Also keep up the grind

Haha! I don’t think so either, but the MCU has some major haters and the DCEU has some very loyal supporters

Hawkeye was a unique show. it would have been cool to have seen a movie. I think the everyman/relatability aspect to his character would make for a great inclusion within a movie. I feel like that’s what adds some of the most depth and weight to some of these movies: Seeing some of the more ordinary characters in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments.

That second part… 100%!! Yeah it could have been cool as a movie, but I don’t mind it as a show. Great point though :)

I'm not gonna hate on you like some others in the comments. I just will say that I liked the dark tone of DCEU it somewhat appealed to me. Even hated BvS (i don't remember any "Martha" moment:D, I pushed it out of memory:D) with the director's cut was good for me. I liked this Batman full of rage against Superman. And even that I liked the dark tone of Snyder movies I also enjoyed Peacemaker a lot more than any marvel series. But overall I have to agree that after ZSJL DCEU became caravan of garbage, Wonder Woman 1984 shouldn't exist, this was an abomination.

That’s fair! I don’t mind if people say their opinions in the comments, that’s the whole point of the comment section! I love discussing these things and the whole point of this channel was to have an open space where we can all discuss civilly. I’ve stated many times before that this is just my opinion. An opinion out of millions out there and I know it’s a hot take. I’m not trying to convince anyone that I’m right and that they are wrong. Just breaking down my thought process between the 2. At the end of the day we’re all fans. I enjoyed reading your comment and I can see why you liked BVS. Awesome!

I’m not cutting slack for Marvel lol it’s my opinion hence why I say it’s a hot take. I’ve stated many times before that I prefer DC over Marvel, but to me Loki, NWH, and GOTG Vol. 3 pretty much top anything out of the dceu besides maybe ZS Justice League or something like The Suicide Squad. I thought Peacemaker was great too, and while both sides were extremely top heavy, I think phase 4-5 had some “mediocre” projects that were better than the “mediocre” projects from the DCEU and that goes for the bottom tier movies of both sides as well. You’re not wrong though and neither am I

Marvel doesn’t suck, but neither does DC. As for the DCEU, I like certain aspects of it, but overall it was a let down for me and I prefer DC overall over Marvel. The DCEU is dead though. At this point in time it looks like it won’t be revived and I don’t want it to be. I’m very excited for the DCU
