When you look back and see these Jerry Lewis telethons with Sammy Davis Jr. and others, you suddenly realize how you took them for granted now that they are gone. They don't make entertainers like them anymore. We surely miss them.

Labor Day just isn't the same anymore. This was a staple in my Dad's house when I was growing up. Loved to stay up with him and "watch the stars come out.". Rest In Peace Daddy, Jerry and Sammy.

Nothing is the same anymore....watch the stars nowadays?? what a laugh, no talent disgusting wannabe entertainers ....as proof of it during last night's grammy's....pot being made legal all over the land....leftist commies taking over the country...with this Cassio Cortez Rican she's even put an end to dumb blonde jokes! Was thinking the other day why don't they have variety shows anymore instead of these so called Reality shows popping up all over, reason is THEY CAN"T the stars are GONE!!!!God was I lucky to be brought up with real talent and music!!!!

This was real reality TV, because even though it was a show, it was doing for the purpose of reality life and the very disease they were trying so desperately to cure, was unfortunately, Reality Life, because people were stricken with it and unfortunately some of these diseases killed. Jerry, my parents and Sammy, you are now in heaven. In God’s house where you belong.

Mar 8, 2019 ~ It was 1986 and it's like yesterday to me. There gone now as I was looking for Judy Garland to be there to but she was already amongest the missing. Oh Lord, how I miss these really real entertainers that now sing at the Pearly Gates. Sammy with his golden voice who could dance a mile and Jerry whom was a real genius, actor, comedian, writer and more. // From the 30s through the 80s we had real entertainment and now we get Slander for humor and patriots not daring to speak. Evolution; plz reverse. I liked it better when we all could compete with out hate. God Help America again

WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE FOR JERRY the Way MDA treated him after devoting most his life to help, Had Jerry never done his Telethon showing the truth about MDA to American people and the world People with handie caps wouldn't have the opportunity and option they do today. YES he used Bleeding heart to open peoples eyes to see the help people needed. 60 years ago you didn't see anyone with a handicap outside his or her home, people were kept locked away from the publics eyes. Now we accept them as they are. Modern buildings streets and sidewalks are built so they can attend, we reserve frt row parking for them, 60 years ago none of this was around wile we can't fix everything we can make life better for people who have special needs. Your special too and we love you. Do I fell sorry yes and no Would I help. Only if you asked for it. Jerry changed the way we look at people with special needs and illnesses. Is it really so bad to change peoples minds by showing the things we never seen. If this was the 1950s you wouldn't leave your home, you couldn't get around and everyone would look at you as if you were from outer space. These Telethons did a lot more for people with special needs then Jerry got Credit for. They brought us to gather to try and solve a problems we had no ides how to fix. And we still don't. But life got a little better.

Ah those golden days. When you were entertained without any wokery, political lecturing or virtue signalling . Just pure entertainment for a good cause, thereby doing a great deal of good. Without them preaching about how virtuous they are. Disney could learn a thing or two. Two amazingly talented jewish men. One black, one white. PERFECT inclusivity and diversity without the crowing. Learn from it Disney. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
