The beginning of my journey to try to collect as many Lionel Messi jerseys as I can in 2023. It's going to be a fun ride and I hope you enjoy following along as much as I do growing the collection.

I love this idea. I will love these series of videos! I am a big Lionel Messi fan! I became a fan of Barcelona during the Ronaldinho years and when Messi took over, I was hooked. I was thrilled when Argentina won the Mundial and he is in my mind the GOAT. Really happy that you're doing this collection Mack! I'm tuned in! Wow thanks for sharing! This is one of the most iconic Barcelona shirts. You should definitely seek getting a nameset for it. 🙌🏽

Thank you for checking it out! I have a lot of namesets to get for the jerseys I’ve gotten. I’ve managed to pick up all but 6 of the Barça styles Messi wore and all but 1 of the PSG styles. Out of the 50 or so jerseys I would say about half or more need namesets. So that will be phase 2. Wanted to make sure I got the jerseys first. Thanks again for checking it out and the sub!

I'm so lucky that I have those jerseys with a Messi nameset and it has a UCL patch too .Those jerseys are so special because he makes his very first goal with this Barcelona kits and makes his first UCL appearance with this kits too .2005 Barcelona kits is one of the best and rare kits to find these days .

Absolutely agree - I’m in the process of getting the blue panel added to the 2005-2006 for his first champions league title vs Arsenal. Can’t wait until it’s finished. Just got the namesets in today. Thank you for checking it out!

This will be an interesting look at an all time icon not just in Soccer/Fútbol history but in sports and history in general. Also are you going to do Ronaldo as well or just stick to Messi? Have you thought of doing other players as well in other sports?

Oh yes - this is largely inspired by my Lebron approach in basketball. And last year I did a similar thing with Ovechkin. Most of them are blanks that I will be sending in to EPS to get customized - so it will probably be late summer before I have them completed and ready to show. I also have done what I can to get as many Hank Aaron jerseys as I can also. And Jordan was the first player I did that with and was the inspiration for the lebron collection. I will probably just do Messi for now - but will certainly pick up a cool Ronaldo, Mbappe, Halaand if I have the chance. 😎

Thanks for checking out the video - the pit to pit measurement is 24 inches - top to bottom is 30 inches with a bit of a drop tail in the back. I hope you enjoy the rest of the Messi Quest videos!

I would say the best thing to do is get a jersey/shirt that fits you well and measure that to see how comparable it is. It’s going to be far more accurate for you and have a better chance of meeting your expectations. That’s why I always provide measurements for reference rather than just giving a subjective response. I hope that helps!

Hello man, i dont know if you can help me. I bought this 2005/2006 model from a guy who sells old Barcelona shirts. But I only started using it a long time later and ended up noticing a few things. My shirt doesn't have those yellow and red letters on the front, it doesn't have the Total 90 logo and the Nike logo is in silk. Could it be fakel? Thank you

Thanks for checking out the video/channel. As far as a good place to start to determine the authenticity of your shirt - I would suggest entering the style code of your jersey into google and seeing if that style jersey shows up under and image search of that style code. It sounds like there may be some unusual details on your jersey but that would be a good place to start.
