Africa's rock'n'roll music has been banging for years though. :) Too bad the rock'n'roll train to the worldwide public has kinda passed since pop music (aka vomitmusic) of britney spears and the backstreet boys took over the world. I hope these guys will make it big one day. If they ever tour Europe I'm gonna be so sure to get tickets and bring all my friends, everybody needs to hear this!

I just listened to a short interview with Mdou, and amazingly he had never heard Hendrix until a couple of years ago! He was also thrilled to discover Jimi was left-handed, since he’s also a lefty guitarist.

@moshpitjo1146 posted "Keep it up guys!" Basically, this is exactly that kind of white western condolescence and covert sense of superiority that camouflages itself with applause and extreme flattery.
@moshpitjo1146
@moshpitjo1146 Жыл бұрын
@@againstallodds3300 source? No covert sense of superiority here, I just want them to make more music. How do you know my motivations for posting what I did? You don’t know me personally, and you don’t even know whether or not I am white. You need more data before you can even make such an assertion about my internal motivations and biases. The level of extrapolation that you have done from a single short comment illustrates to me that you aren’t interested in truth, but merely want to start an argument, because no rational person would take such a small amount of data and come to such a conclusion.

I heard you on Spotify. I want to say that you are a great band that gives me unique emotions. I want to thank you very much for preserving your Tuareg culture, your language, and at the same time promoting it around the world. This is worthy of respect and you have touched me very much with your creativity and efforts. I don't understand the words, but I feel your patriotism and your love for your land, your people, your language. I myself am an amateur geographer, but I have never been particularly attracted to North Africa and the Greater Middle East in general, but you were able to kindle this interest in me, for which I thank you very much. I'm waiting for you in Moscow! With love from Russia, Africa!
