The members of the Honda S800 owners’ club can’t stop boasting about their Hondas. They have adopted marketing copy from the U.S. used in the 60s as their club’s slogan: You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda.
The club has 75 members of differing backgrounds and tastes, but they all have a couple of things in common: an unrelenting love for the S800 and being treated as “weird” by those around them when they start talking enthusiastically about their obsession.
In 2016, traffic regulations governing Paris streets restricted older cars such as the S800 to weekends only. Even so, when people drive this loveable little car, they are warmly welcomed by city residents.
Times may change but love does not. These are the nicest people in Paris.
スローガンは、60年代の米国キャンペーンコピー「You meet the nicest people on a Honda(素晴らしい人々、Hondaに乗る)」だ。
