He actually did haha. When the beta was out I was actually able to beat him consistently on the hardest difficulty. Here last night I got two rounds off on separate occasions n that was it. He felt way more aggressive plus I didn't stand a chance. last time I played Ryu was in alpha.

How funny would it be if they threw a L8CPU into the bracket just to spice things up

And the amount of times it "conveniently" does a move that's the exact counter to whatever the player does frame perfect. This is my first time seeing the AI, I hope lower levels are more balanced and, uh....actually fun.

@@Manglet762 CPU's aren't meant to be "fun", they're mean to have to practice against a statistically perfect virtual opponent. This isn't "outside" human capability, aside from the fact that it's designed to be perfect. The point is for you to learn how to statistically recover from your own imperfections, and optimize what opportunities you get. If you want fun, I hear there's a plethora of fun party games and single player content with AI designed for teaching the basics is easy going scenarios..

@@14megasxlr Also, you know, lower difficulties. This is the max difficulty btw, although CPUs never feel quite as good as battling a human the 3-5 level computers felt pretty fair

OH THANK GOD IF THAT'S TRUE. That means the game actually has an actual difficulty if you wanna fight it honestly,but there'll be obvious cheese strats you'll be able to use once you figure out what it does every time. I've lived through the SNK Boss Syndrome era, I know the deal.

@@janematthews9087 They're programmed to read inputs but aren't aware of frame data as far as I'm concerned.

Level 7 reads inputs, too, but that usually translates to countering Drive Impact with its own Drive Impact on what I swear is frame one. That's almost charming compared to this.

SfV might have been the worst mainline game on release and they somehow brought it back to being just an okay street fighter so they def learned a lot during the process. Glad to see it manifest in such a good way.

The cpu maskes it pretty well. They do different combos and pressure strings. They will sometimes drop stuff or do hail mary stuff. The team really tried to make the ai feel human.

Amen bro. I played against the CPU level 8 and still havent won a single match. finally trying this game after not getting into the any of the betas, has been fulfilling and so much fun using all the universal mechanics and new features in the game. I cant wait for June 2nd!

There was never an open beta, only 2 closed beta.

@@pktoasty2470 just bait it and react to its DI. Do nothing raw (super, DI) or it will just react to it every single time. Its reading your inputs and it doesnt even try to hide it. Every CPU is the same dumb thing. React to what its doing and just bait stuff on wakeup (safejumps, framekill some whiffed buttons) and punish.

i’m getting used to it too. I abstained from too much detail on a lot of mechanics and seeing it now with all the drive shit is nice as hell. And yeah with the parry and normal to super stuff,def sfIII vibes .

​@@tiguilherman_plays Yeah, fighting CPU sucks, lv7 feels pretty easy after a while and lv8 is fucking stupid, it doesn't at all emulate the experience of playing another human, I wish there was like a simple lobby to invite people, even if just for these two characters, just to get a feel of how the game is ACTUALLY supposed to be played. Oh well, there's always Parsec.

New CPU AI has this thing called Pity mechanic

@@computeraidedyami maybe it activated for me, but I beat it pretty consistently now so either way it was the best practice I could get for now. I will try the same using Ryu today when I’m finished work

Yup. I am not too good in SF but I find myself beating 5 at the moment. 6 is the level I am trying to beat. I lose to it like 13 out of 20

Same thoughts shit I'd be happy with 4 characters. As soon as I saw Luke n Ryu were only playable. It reminded me of seeing sf3 the first time in arcade and then walking off in disappointment.

It certainly felt like it. But to me the speed of the game feels better. They still feel heavy but not as heavy as in the beta. I had a 1st to 3 last 19 minutes in the beta.

​​@@dragons_hook naw not really. I noticed it in SF4 that the CPU actually plays fair. Same in SF5, KOF14, KOF 15, and Tekken 7. I feel like they started doing it that way because they are no longer having to take quarters from you. Probably easier to just leave the CPU like original. Then have to program them differently to force you to spend quarters. If that makes sense. But no lie I played the demo last night and sf6 does feel like old school KOF cheapness.

I haven't really played a Street Fighter game since I played against my dad in Street Fighter II on the SNES, although I was like 3 or 4 at the time haha. I'm very excited for Street Fighter 6!

NO That is the most amazing thing, the CPU in SF6 is more human looking than anything. I am sure behind the code it reads inputs, but it doesn't not seem like that while playing, the AI is making its own decisions.

@@Stinkyremy in my experience it had some obvious input reads when it came to drive impact but other than that it does feel better than sfv

@@JM-nq5gz fighting Luke on hardest in sf6 he anti airs everything. His crouch fierce punch anti airs like birdies crouch strong anti air in early SFV. Where even cross ups get wrecked.
