I don't know but I was able to do 138 db at 29hz on my 2508g supercharged the bass it makes its insane ima do another box tomorrow hopefully I get 140 out of it which I did almost but at a higher frequency.

​@smurfeco2.358 nice how many 2508 subs you had 2 doing the 138db how many cubes net is your box? I been debating on which 8s I wanna run under my seat ported. Was looking at 2 2508gs I can only run 2 correctly ported since there like a 9" really. But was told I would be louder running 4 8s like 4 sa v3 8s or U8s or and other 4 8 setup that requires like .5cu to .85cu net per. Which I can get 3.5cu net rating my seats and using every inch available

If for example a amp has 20,000w rms into 1 ohm power, and the sub could take 5,000w rms at 1ohm and you turn up the power to max you would certainly blow the sub easily, but if you use just quarter power, the amp wouldn’t blow the speaker because it gives 5,000w. Normally you would use a amp that has a higher power rating than the speaker to not challenge the amp and have the risk of clipping which could destroy your speaker.

@@RickVNPN No clipping is when the signal wave gets stretched to much (make the signal louder) it will clip, which is when the signal wave flatens at the top (the amp hasn't enough power to put out the signal). This flattened top wave kills your speakers because they need to stand still at the pro /retracting position. Distortion can also be when the output and input power is low. This mostly happenes when the power source is not clean DC power. Example: A clean DC power signal is when the line is completely flat. Now it can get distorted to have small jumps in it (often times comes from bad quality transformators but also from bad quality cables...). This wouldn't usually destroy your speaker but you would have some noise in the output.
