Everytime I meet a man and he ask me why I'm single, I tell him that I've been praying to God for a husband and that I am staying selobent until marriage. I've been selobent now for over two years and I fell great. As soon as I tell the person that, that person IMMEDIATELY back off. I used to fell bad in the beginning, but now I thank God for showing me up front that that person isn't the one for me. God is sooooo good and I refused to stop being selobent. I'm not going to sin against God just to please someone elses flesh. It's just not worth it.🍎🍎🍎🍎

Your testimony was a confirmation for me. I have been praying for direction for a current spirit -flesh battle I've been working through. I don't think the guy I'm dating is going to be receptive to this. The sex ship has already sailed for us. He is going to think I've lost my mind. I dread having to go back into rotation. One relationship after another only to realize had I waited a little longer I would have figured out sooner that I was wasting my time. It's the plight of our generation. If you are young beautiful successful, you typically attract someone with the same surface qualities. You don't get to the layers beneath the surface because there is the expectation that sex is something that should be prioritized, otherwise you run the risk of losing their interest. By the time you get a glimpse of what you're really dealing with, you've already given your time,energy,love,heart and body. All things you can never get back. So you convince yourself that there will be a return on your investment if you just hang in there. Sadly, it doesn't work out that way. And you're back to the drawing board. Rinse and repeat. I can see how the wait can eliminate that cycle with discipline (i.e. LOTS of prayer in my case). I ordered the book. I hope to have a different story to tell the next time I post. So real..The Wait is great for the individual.

Wow! That last prayer speaks volumes seeing what they are going through 5 years later. And the bad breath comments weren’t cool then and wouldn’t be now either.

You can't measure whether or not someone is the one for you on the simple fact that they will wait to have sex with you..some men will wait but in the meantime they're doing their thing on the side..So basically you have to have a spiritual connection as well and God has to be the foundation in both your lives as individuals first, then you come together as a unit. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to that right one because every Christian isn't meant for you..and just because someone is willing to wait doesn't make them the one chosen by God! Remember, someone who doesn't even believe in Him is capable of waiting to have sex!
