Today I’m meal planning in my Classic Happy Planner! I know this is something a bit different for this channel, but I’ve had so many requests to show how I meal plan in my Happy Planner for Bright Line Eating, as well as how I’ve lost over 50 pounds in the past 10 months.
I thought it would be fun to show just how I plan my meals each week, what types of food I eat, and how I stick to my plan throughout the week. (Watch to the end to see my Bright Line Eating Success Pictures!)

@@lsaez479 No, I don't. No honey. No stevia. Nothing. Not even dates to sweeten things. As a recovering sugar addict, those things just trigger cravings for me! Now that I'm broken from the addiction pattern, I don't struggle with willpower or cravings, and I just don't want to go back to that!

Wow what an amazing transformation! My husband and I have done Whole30 along with a Beachbody workout. I've lost 75 lbs. and he's lost 65 lbs. in 8 months, but have gained some back since we've allowed our busy schedules to interfere. Thanks for this! I'll be making a trip to the store tomorrow and get my meal planning going again! :)

Great video! I am in great need of preplanning all of my meals. We have done much better in planning our dinners, but not the other meals. I am a shift-worker and it is too mentally stressful to decide every meal what to eat. Going to try this. Leaving my meals planner out and looking beautiful will surely be a big motivation 🤗

I watched this video ages ago after first finding your channel, and I remember thinking "Weigh all my food? No way!" (pun intended!). Now, with a few more unwanted pounds thanks to quarantine comfort eating, I'm about to embark on BLE Bootcamp because I think I need that structure. I'm using my Erin Condren Vertical that totally failed to work for me as a meal planner because it was too easy to change my mind and buy pizza - now those pesky decisions have been taken away from me 😊 So thanks, Sarra, for putting BLE on my radar!

Wow, thanks for taking the time to do this. I am one week into BLE and I'm not feeling confident that I can do it. The sugar and flour are easy, but the long stretch between meals is almost unbearable for me. Maybe I'm not eating enough food. Anyway, your menus gave me some great ideas, and the idea of making it FUN appeals to me. Your before and after photos are so amazing and inspiring.

Hats off to you for being brave enough to share all of this with the public. I have five daughters and three of them have PCOS. Losing weight, along with all the other stuff, can be a challenge to deal with. ongrats to you for keeping up the fight. :)

Thank you for posting this and telling us a bit on how you are doing it. I watched several videos that just repeat the points of the book but dont really help plan and make it seem realistic. Which is what you did in this video.

I absolutely LOVE this idea! I've been doing BLE for about 35 days and lost 10lbs the first 2 weeks. But I've gained 2.5lbs of it back already because I have NES (Night Eating Syndrome). It's a real thing. Anyway, I definitely need to incorporate this idea. I think it will help me tremendously. In the beginning, I wrote it all down and planned it all out. And to be perfectly honest, I'm really enjoying eating just about the same 3 meals, every single day! We'll, the fact is, I love my breakfast and lunch. Dinner needs a huge adjustment. But I've got that covered because I found a recipe on FaceBook. For compliant egg rolls, which I love egg rolls! Anyway, even tho I eat the same things every day for all three meals, writing the food down, including the exact measurements and weight and quantities, would reinforce the commitment I've made you myself. So, thank you again for the idea!!

I'm so enjoying your channel. This video is so i nspirational! Congratulations on your weightless! I know you've had your daughter and are doing brightline eating again.I need to lose weight for my health and happiness i gaine d a lot of weight after going through breast cancer and a complete hysterectomy at age 35. Thank you for this video it makes me want to try this method of planning my meals out for the week.

Love this video!! It was so inspiring Sarra and what a transformation! Please do more videos like these. Health and fitness is a topic a lot of us struggle with. I'm surprised you don't get hungry between the meals? 🙄

Thank you! And I did struggle with hunger for the first ten days or so, but once my body adjusted it's been great. No hunger, more consistent energy, and no blood sugar dips, which is a big change for me. But yes, the very beginning was tough with being hungry.

👏Wow👏 That's an amazing accomplishment! It's so inspiring...yes, please share more of your health journey. 🌟 This is so timely. I am figuring out how to plan my own meals. I've got 40 pounds that's been hanging around for about 3 years and I'm noticing that some of my life decisions (e.g., what to wear, where to travel, what activities to do, etc.) are starting to be dictated by this excess weight AND I'M LOSING MY SENSE OF SELF. It's beginning to eat away at my confidence and I'm even shying away from hugs😞. I'm going to try the keto diet and will be following Maria Emmerich's 30-Day Keto Detox book in September.

I completely understand what you mean!! Once it starts to dictate your choices in that way, you are no longer free. You can do this!! I've heard a lot of keto success stories!!

Thank you! And honestly, it affected both in major ways for me. My mood is so much more stable now with less swings and bad days. That's helping me to be so much more productive in general.

Amazing photos. Can you please show the prep of some of these dishes (e.g. I cannot imagine how you roast broccoli. I’ve only ever steamed it). Also, what is your exercise plan?

Thank you! That's a great idea. I could definitely do a few videos on prep. Roasted broccoli is so good! Basically I just cut it into smaller pieces, drizzle a little Olive oil on it and toss it around, put it on a baking sheet with foil at about 400 degrees for 20 minutes. It comes out crispy, and I drizzle lemon juice on it when it's done. It's really good!! As for exercise, I haven't been doing anything specific. We live near the beach, so we do walk on the beach a few times a week, and I have three flights of stairs in my house, haha. Nothing extra, though. The weight loss has been mainly from food changes! I really want to start doing yoga consistently!

Heart Breathings I teach yoga so have a small daily (30min) practice and 3x per week do a stronger power yoga practice. This year I have dropped 15kg (starting from almost exactly where you were) mainly through the ‘Couch to 5 K’ running program. I am a bit stuck at 75kg now and feel it’s time to tune up the food aspect in all this, so your program could be what I’m looking for. Please continue with clips on this style of eating if you can fit it in.

It's been a year so I'm sure you've tried it by now but I recently tried roasting broccoli myself (after also having grown up only steaming it) and it was really good. Although it was pan roasted (so basically fried) with garlic.

I just found this because I’m about to start BLE and I wanted to try to figure out how to use my HP. Perfect!!! My question is.... how do you make the pages of the plan, the right size for the planner? I just printed them off on a normal sheet of paper this morning and then I found your video. :D

I printed the regular size pages at 84% and then just cut them down to size! Wishing you the best with BLE. It truly changed my life.

I just ordered a Happy Planner to Bright Line Meal Plan! How did you print out the BLE plan in the proper format? I'm assuming they have a paper punch available too. Love that I found this video! You look so healthy! And your planner is so pretty. :)

Thank you! It's been significant. My mood has been so much better and more consistent, I have easily double the energy I had before, and I've gotten more done in the past year than probably the previous three years combined. There's a lot of personal mindset work that has gone into that productivity as well, but I know a lot of it is also just eating better, focusing on joy, and cutting sugar.

Sharon, When I did the BLE bootcamp, she gave us a pdf with all the info. I just printed it out at 84% size for classic Happy planner and cut it down, then punched it to fit! I'm not sure if you can find these printables or something similar maybe on her website!

I get most of these kind of supplies at Michaels, but if you don't have one near you, they sell them at Walmart and Amazon!
